The fact alone that the lean beautiful body body on the front of all the videos belongs to Callan - 47 at the time - should make you hit the One Click button right now. This is quite simply the best programme for changing your body shape. I use Jenny Rivett (with Lorraine Kelly - Figure Happy) for my aerobics, and Callanetics three times a week to tone. I thought I was born with a big bum. I wasn't. Within ten days of using this video it had completely changed shape. My waist was tiny - the best EVER excercise for the waist and legs I have found, you can almost see them whittle down before your eyes, and so easy, no sweating and no pain! The easy looking exercises belie what goes on underneath. Exercise 4 times a week and notice results within a month. It strenghens, tones, changes posture and makes you so supple you'd swear that you were 10 years old again. You can do the exercise in your living room and all you need is a chair and a structure as high as a dining table. You need dedication though and just watching the video is not going to do it for you.

Sadly, I've never really managed to use this tape quite as often as her first one. I like the idea of the class doing the exercises/movements with you. This one is definitely more advanced movements and fine if you can work away on your own.

As many of the other commentators wrote, my mum used the tape during the early 90s when i was young and then i took it up in my late teens during the 1990's. Her tape got stuck in the VCR, so I bought it again. Didn't have a VCR so I actually transferred it onto DVD at a cost of £15, more than the tape actually cost. This is becuase the tape is amazing, a beginners workout which then moves on to the advanced section with an aerobics rountine that is fun, exciting and by the end has you desperately trying to gasp for sweet air. The point is this tape is truly generational and defintely competes with modern rountine workouts. Fantastic! Truly generational

Having bought and used a lot of exercise videos, both new and old, I really found this one a breath of fresh air. Its so chilled out and calming, with no loud annoying americans trying to gee you up, and an excellent relaxing soundtrack. Perfect for working out in the evening time. So many other videos are blatantly low- budget and cheesy, this one has stunning background scenery, and has been fimed and compiled in a really artistic, classy way. You'd never know that it was made so long ago. The exercises are far from easy for a beginner, and at first, when she asks you to "pulse" (i.e. do the exercise faster), I rested then continued when the pace slowed again. This 20 minut workout targets you hips and buttock in the most wonderful way and since it is so short, it can be squeezed in in almost anyones busy day. But don't be decieved by the look of these exercises - they may seem like a breeze, but once you get on the floor and go thru them, there will be no doubt as to what part of your body you are working!! And for once, this is a workout that delievers what it promisses and that is fast results!!!

I have used this video for years and years, before, during and after being a total gym freak and I agree with most, this is one of the best workouts all round for the home. I too am on my second video as I wore the first one out and I came on this site today to see if I could get it on DVD as no doubt in the near future we will no longer be using video players! I have also bought other video's / DVD's ranging from other step ones such as Reebok and also tae bo, Ministry of Sound etc, etc. I find that some sections on other home video's bore me but I enjoy every section of this one! If you like step, you'll love this :) My only complaint also is that it isn't available on DVD:)

Keli Roberts was the trainer in Cher's fitness videos (A New Attitude - Great, and Body Confidence - not so great). I've had this video for years and alternated between Cher, Kathy Smith and this one. It is quite challenging and I had to work up to be able to finish it. It's not that it is overly difficult but the moves are a little more challenging and there are less cool downs than in the Cher step section. I think it is good for beginners but will also suit the more intermediate/advanced. I am gutted bedause it is not availabe on DVD. I don't have a VHS player anymore so I haven't been able to use the video.

My daughter got a rebounder for Xmas 3 years ago. I have used it much more than her doing this video. It is brilliant fun, excellent aerobic excercise and make you feel really good by the end. Only problem for the older mothers is a bit of leakage! I did find however that this improved the more I did it (perhaps training my pelivic floor??) The 3 people on the video obviously really enjoy what they are doing and the 2 "helpers" at the back sometimes get it wrong which gives me heart. Got Lucy Knights Gymball video for Xmas. The workout is good, but she could learn a lot from the girl that does CardioBounce. If you have a rebounder, you need this video!!!
