This film is a marvelous combination of cinematic drama and wonderful music. Operatic experts quibble about the quality of the singing, but I think most people will hugely enjoy this emotional roller-coaster.

The settings and choice of works played by John Williams are a perfect match in order to display his mastery of the guitar. Plenty of close up shots of both left and right hands in a chorus of technical perfection. For the student guitarist there is much here to learn about poise and definition in williams' style of playing. My only criticism would be too much of his philosophy focused on, I would have liked to see more of his early years, tour recitals ect.. But thats just a personal gripe!
