VHS : Indiana Jones Trilogy (Box Set) [1984]
The films are superb as they are and they are just enhanced with this brilliant box set. A few great things about this set is you get interviews with George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Harrison at the end of each film, the film quality has been digitally remastered and the sound, and the box that holds all the videos is nice too! So all in all well worth the money for any Indy fan!

VHS : Death Race 2000 [1975]
A cracking little film!
Created a great deal of press attention at the time of its cinema release...back in the days when a 6 week hype campaign were the norm.
Even that bastion of trash 'Titbits' magazine ran a colour spread!
Stallone excells as Machine Gun Joe Viterbo, as does Carradine as Frankenstein.
Even the dreadful continuity ( check the attack scene, involving the French air force) doesn't detract from the films energy and gusto.
Don't expect a digitally remastered version on DVD though...its still as grainy as a bag of rice.
Apparently, a new version of this film..imaginatively titled Death Race 3000 is due to grace our screens soon, but it'll have to go some to beat the cornball splendour of this gem.

I really liked Timothy Dalton as Bond. I really thought the guy did a great job. The Living Daylights was an excellent Bond thriller, more in line with Dr No and From Russia With Love in tone and style, but with Licence To Kill you can tell that Broccoli decided to compete with the big boys with this action packed spectacular that aims high and scores. What we have here is Bond with spectacular action scenes and a more nastier steak with regards to the violence that is more in line with Hollywood action blockbusters than with quintessential British spies. This is why the film works. Licence To Kill is much more darker than any of the Bond films that has come before, and after the silliness of the Moore era, that was what this franchise needed. Due to an alleged stupid dispute between Warners and 20th Century Fox over who owns the UK rights to the Towering Inferno this magnificent 2 disc set is unavaible in the UK except on Region 1 import. But it is well worth the effort to get hold of one.
Beautifully packaged, with the main feature remastered and a host of fascinating extras, far to many to go into detail about on disc 2, plus a set of lobby cards, this is the ultimate Towering Inferno set and one that every fan of this classic disaster movie should own.

just watched the blu ray version of this classic movie, and i must say for most part it looks positively stunning! considering its age it puts many modern films to shame! and with plenty of extras to keep most movie fans happy its a great example of what can be done with the extra space that blu ray discs have to offer.Th Adventures of Robin Hood [Blu-ray] [1938] [US Import] oh just to confirm the disc came from america and is region free playing without any problems on my playstation 3.

I have a copy of the original which is one of the best thrillers of the eighties, which lacked a great deal of movie quality of any kind, but the sequels really are getting tedious.

The second one was okay, but I wasn't interested in buying it, but the third was downright awful. Russo was simply annoying. She was violent and arrogant. I thought the whole thing was annoying. The biggest mistake the franchise made was lightening up. The dark edge was what made the original work so well.

I liked this film when I first saw it and now I have changed my mind with repeated watching. Like all Tarantino films, the dialogue between characters is unnatural. It feels like one person talking to themselves. The characters all talk in this faux intelligent geeky way about tiny things and there is no discernable differences between outlook or delivery of the characters words. The story doesn't hang together very well and the use of celebrity cameos is just celuloid cronyism. I fell for the hype, save your time and money and don't buy into this trash. Travolta is a fake, Jackson can't act, QT is annoying, Thurman is lovely, Keitel is cheesey and not at all hard like he makes out. There is too much wrong with this film to call it a classic. It's silly. At least Tom Cruise isn't ... Read More:

erm... well the films are not as good as either of the under siege films, but they are still good films. The martial arts scenes are done exceptionally well, although at times it looks like they put them in just for the sake of it. Hard to Kill is probably the best of the lot, were he has to get revenge on the people who killed his wife. On a whole the package is worth it cos you will be entertained. But dont expect brilliant films, just average ones

I might be extremely sarcastic about the role in the world of the closest ally of the United States, the UK, but I admit many British actors are unbelievably talented. Sir Roger Moore is a brilliant performer. Together with Harrison Ford, he's my favourite actor. I enjoy all his James Bond movies very much. A great movie, a great actor, that's all I want to say.
