VHS : Star Trek The Next Generation - The Best Of Both Worlds [1990]
This was such an important episode for Star Trek TNG and is a very significant episode for Picard. A alien race known as the Borg invade the federation intent on assmiliating the technology and people of the federation into their collective. Their extremely powerful ship, (a single cube) engages the federation fleet and the Enterprise providing plently of action.

What this episode captures very well and convinces, is the real dread that humanity is in serious danger as the Borg seem to be totally unstoppable and relentless. There are subplots interwoven in this episode with the introduction of the highly ambitious commander Shelby character who causes some tension between herself the "seasoned" commander Riker, a little bit of character ... VHS : Star Trek Voyager - Vol. 7.13 - Endgame / Endgame Part 2 [1996]
With the advent of a visible future without a Star Trek series, (thanks for the contribution "Enterprise"!), this double episode-as a series finale'-could be construed as a bit of a cop out, well, you'd be partially correct. The plot could've been a great deal stronger and should've really allowed for the cast to return on the big screen in a strong position, just getting "Home" maybe wasn't enough, ho-hum. Anyway, the cast really get their teeth into this time travelling, destruction of the Borg(?) yarn, which twists and turns and ties up some loose ends-The Doctors name for instance.. Fun and exciting, finally see how the "Voyager" family get back, If you are a fan I don't think you'll be disappointed, a great way to ... Read More:

VHS : Blake's 7 - Way Back / Space Fall - Episodes 1 And 2 [1978]
Roj Blake, a model citizen of the Federation, is approached by a rebel group who claim he was once their leader, before being captured and brain-washed. He is extremely skeptical until events rapidly escalate into the massacre of all the rebels and proof of corruption at the highest levels.

Captured and put through a show trial, he is put on a prison transport to the penal Colony of Cygnus Alpha.

In "Space Fall", Blake arranges a mutiny on board the transport, which nearly succeeds, but is overcome by Blake's idealism (he is not willing to sacrifice any of his new followers, even though they are convicts).

He and two of his followers gain a second chance when the transport encounters a seemingly abandoned ship of strange ... Read More:

I'm one of those people who will collect every single thing that there is relating to Red Dwarf (or Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc). And this was my newest addition.

I should start by saying that in terms of comedy quality, the actual story part of it isn't Red Dwarf material. It's written and directed by Danny John-Jules so you won't find any Grant Naylor sort of jokes in it. But in terms of entertainment and collectors, it is a must for any Red Dwarf fan. You get appearances by the cast of RD during the film clip (Queeg and Elvis from "Meltdown" included which made me giggle happily to myself) and at the end of it all, a eight or so minute "Making of" feature which delves into the slightly mad nature of John-Jules, Craig Charles & Robert Llewellyn. ... In another episode of Voyager's journey through the Delta Quadrant, Captain Janeway agrees to the Delta Flyer's participation in a race. This race is held between alien cultures who used to be at war with one another and there is still animosity between them. Unbeknownst to the Voyager crew, someone has sabotaged the Delta Flyer, jeopardising her crew. Who did it and will Tom and B'Elanna make it through alive? Watch to find out. Drive is a enjoyable episode to watch....

VHS : Star Trek Voyager - Vol. 4.1 (Scorpion Pt. II/The Gift) [1996]
The second part of "Scorpion" is thrilling as the first part, because it's full of action. In this episode, Captain Janeway begins to co-operate with the Borg, to fight together against the Species 8472, and the Collective assign to her a Borg collaborator, the human woman Seven of Nine. The co-operation between the federal astronauts and the Borg is difficult, because each part is suspicious of the other: the crew of the "Voyager" fears that the Borg could assimilate them, and the Borg (although they want the help of the federals) haven't renounced the intention to subdue the federals. These facts are the origin of a complex situation, that makes the episode thrilling; in this situation, the crew of the "Voyager" has to fight hardly against the Species 8472, and must ... VHS : Star Trek Voyager - Vol. 3.13 (Worst Case Scenario/Scorpion Pt.I) [1996]
"Worst case scenario" is an interesting story which retakes the character of Seska, and the development of the plot is quite interesting from the beginning to the end. SCORPION (parts I and II) are for me the best VOYAGER episodes so far. There are one "before" and one "after" Scorpion in the overall Voyager series. The story in really good, and the special effects are really what you would expect from a feature movie rather than for a TV show! Borg cubes, drones, species 8472, bioships, fluidic space, and of course...SEVEN OF NINE. Definitively worth buying!
