VHS : Battle Of Britain [1969]
This is one of my all time favourite films. I remember eagerly waiting for it (its making was well trailed beforehand) and seeing it in its debut run at the Dominion in London - complete with commemorative booklet. I saw it several more times when it came out on general release so you will appreciate that it is a film that I love and can watch over and over again. However, it is a story and not a documentary as some reviewers have implied. It is one view of events and gives a taste of some of the ground level conflicts and difficulties. It would have taken a mini-series to do history full justice.

Several reviewers have commented that some of the planes are not authentic and while that is true, they are lot more authentic than ... Read More:

Great movie, one of my favourite films from my childhood, and by far the greatest buddie movie ever made. I've got this film on a ancient VHS and still watch it from time to time. Look out for the late great Brion James of Blade Runner fame as the dodgy cockney geezer. Great perfomances from Sly, Russell and Palance too.

VHS : The Towering Inferno [1975]
Due to an alleged stupid dispute between Warners and 20th Century Fox over who owns the UK rights to the Towering Inferno this magnificent 2 disc set is unavaible in the UK except on Region 1 import. But it is well worth the effort to get hold of one.
Beautifully packaged, with the main feature remastered and a host of fascinating extras, far to many to go into detail about on disc 2, plus a set of lobby cards, this is the ultimate Towering Inferno set and one that every fan of this classic disaster movie should own.

VHS : 3 x 3 Eyes - Part 3 [1995]
The terrific pace of the 3x3 Eyes Manga continues in this, the third episode of the story. After the confusing events in which Yakamo Fuji finds Pai, his one time lover and mystical companion on a quest to become mortal, as a schoolgirl in Tokyo, the story moves on as Pai gradually regains her memory and her Sanzan side comes through once again. The amazing skill with which the original comic has been transformed into a breathtaking panorama of graphical detail. Though the voiceovers do 'grate' a little at times, and some of the dialogue does not translate from the original Japanese very well, 3x3 Eyes is a great Manga to get involved with - and once you're hooked, you will without doubt move on to episodes 4 and 5 where the true brilliance of the story and the ... VHS : The Last Of The Mohicans [1992]
After reading so many reviews praising this film, i just had to see it.
I tried three times to 'get' into this movie, but after i finally managed to sit through it till the end, i discovered it wasn't worth the effort.
Part of the problem for me is Daniel Day-Lewis. His character just doesn't regester as interesting. I've given it two stars for average because the last ten minutes were good.
It's not a bad film...just nowhere near as entertaining as 'The Patriot' or 'Braveheart', or countless other action flicks. But like i say it might be because i couldn't identify with any of the characters. I'm in the minority, so if you 'enjoy' this film then great. It was very disappointing for me, even 'Dances with Wolves' held my attention more than this. ... Read More:

VHS : The Complete Guide To The World Of Martial Arts [1993]
This video should be of interest to anyone, whether a experienced/novice martial artist, or whether someone just wants to see some action for a friday night in with the lads! I'd recommend it particularly to someone who is considering beginning a martial art, as the video gives a very good overview of the major martial arts and what they involve, although obviously, not every aspect of every art is covered. Karate (traditional karate-do mainly), muay thai and jeet kune do are given the most coverage and there's a fair ol' chunk on freestyle too. For each art, major names in each art (eg. Dan Inosanto, Brian Jacks, Alfie Lewis, Master Sken) are interviewed, where they explain a little about their art and then give a demonstration or are seen training. There is also generally ... Part four in the series sees Pai and Yukomo going to tibet to find out how to get Pai's memory back but run into trouble. This part sees pai and yukomos love getting stronger with awakward moments and indroduces new enemys like runpaupau a giant four armed beast with a secret. this puts the series together and adds one last cliffhanger to the series. If you liked the gore of the others theres not much in this but if your looking for story then this is pretty good.

This film features a special mission team in the thick of World War 2 before D-Day parachuted behind Nazi lines for a special destruction mission. The operation is fiction but there are similar covert missions during the war.The main strategy of the team is to deceive, shock and rapidly destroy the enemy. Nazi soldiers disguised as American soldiers tried to disrupt the logistics and supply lines. The film is shot with a wide range of stars sucj as Lee Marvin, Telly Salavas, John Cassevetes, Charles Bronson, Ernest Borgnine, Donald Sutherland et al.
