VHS : War And Remembrance - Part 4 [1986]
I found this final series exciting and deeply satisfying. The previous two parts (Winds of War, and part one of this) called very strongly for completion, and that is what we have here... IN SPADES! I found the same wonderful sense of historical perspective that I noted in my review of part one... I felt I had got an overall grasp of the essentials of a very important and complex period, but also, that I had seen, spelled out in graphic detail, the results of the concentrated arrogance, stupidity, and self-indulgence that the Nazi ideal foisted on this suffering planet during that time. Nothing in my life so far had prepared me for the absolute horror revealed in this coverage... and nothing, I am sure, will ever allow me to forget it... which ... Read More:

How can you dislike this classic video. 'Gillian' is fantastic, not only is she the girlfriend of Hutch, she is also a hooker. Although some may say it is dated it is one of the best action/comedy series ever made. Two handsome police men and plenty of gun fights, what more can you ask for?

VHS : Stone [1974]
made in 1975,as previous review points out,has plenty kawasaki z900`s!will be more remembered for being a bit of a forerunner for mad max(one of the bikers played the toecutter)
without giving any of the plot away,it can well compete with any of the thousand biker films made around that time, with a sting in the tale at the end.
all in all,it is a film well worth tracking down, and screaming for a u.k dvd release

VHS : Point Break [1991]
What can I say about this movie that hasn't already been said huh? Well here's MY opinion... I simply LOVE it, grrrrrreat action 'leave your brain at the door' flick with lots of guns, explosions, Gary Busey! and skydiving... yes SKYDIVING! which just for the record Patrick Swayze does FOR REAL (looks amazing!) and whilst the Reeves performs his bits in a studio (no CGI thank god!) on some machine somewhere it still looks fab!

Anyway, just noticed that many an other reviewer have reiterated what I was about to say about this well loved flick... in a nutshell BUY IT!!!

A+

VHS : Catch Me If You Can [2003]
Steven Spielberg directed crime caper based on a true story in which Leonardo DiCaprio plays a young master con artist who passes himself off as a doctor, lawyer and pilot among other things whilst jetting around America and the world living off cashed fraudulent cheques to the tune of millions of dollars, whilst Tom Hanks's FBI agent tries to apprehend him. A surprisingly dull effort from Spielberg which dragged for the two hours plus that it ran: I was looking at my watch wondering when it was going to end, frankly. Not Spielberg's best by a long shot: perhaps he doesn't do true life stories as well as fiction? Because he was clearly having an off-day here. Not recommended.

VHS : The World Is Not Enough [1999]
I bought this film because it had denise richards and sophie marceau in it and as a man you can't help thinking that you'll never see a combination like that again in a bond movie. However this was also a great action film and one of the best bond films I have seen. However,I couldn't give it 5 stars because as with any other bond film The World Is Not Enough was too long - bond films always have an over complicated and over-elaborate ending. And what is the obsession with them ending with bond kissing some woman with other people looking on.

VHS : Cheyenne Autumn [1964]
I have read the reviews about John Fords 'Cheyenne Autumn'. John Ford tried in this film I believe to highlight the truth about the american indians, the true native americans, not the different cultures who claimed to be americans. He tried to highlight the plight of the native americans and how they were forced from their native lands onto reservations where nothing except weeds would grow. They couldn't hunt buffalo because they like the indians had been hunted and killed almost to the point of extinction. In the 60's when the film had been made all the news had been about the civil rights movement and the rights of the black american citizens. John Ford tried to remind the american public that there was another race of people in America who weren't receiving any civil/human rights ... Read More:
