VHS : Teletubbies: Bedtime [2000]
If your child loves the Teletubbies I can't recommend this one higher, its the best by far.

Most of the teletubbies scenes are about bedtime, sleep and waking up and is of great interest to the little ones.

What really rules about this video is the cut scenes (the scenes where the Teletubbies display video on their bellies). The first two cut scenes are simply fantastic and a lot of trouble has gone into the soundtrack.

The first cut scene is wake up sleepy head, where about a dozen small children wake up a man sleeping on a chair. The music and singing is extremely well done. My little one is absolutely in awe of it and we use it to calm him, if he gets a little hyper.

The next cut scene features ... Read More:

I have a 19-month-old daughter who watches this video over and over, giggles and enjoys it, loves it - a sweet and wholesome tape for young children to watch often.

VHS : The Famous Five - Five Go To Mystery Moor/Five Go To Smuggler's Top (Part 1+2)
The two episodes on this video are from the 1970's version of the Famous Five TV series. I grew up with this series, having already read the books and I still enjoy watching the episodes that are still obtainable. 'Mystery Moor' and 'Smuggler's Top' both have all the makings of a great story and mystery, involving gypsies, castles, villians, and loyal friends to the Five.

VHS : Barney - Imagination Island [1994]
This was the first (of many) Barney videos we have bought for our 3 boys over the last 7 years. It was bought entirely "on spec" and Barney has continued to be a real winner ever since. Our oldest boy is now 7 and can still be found sneaking a watch with his twin brothers when he thinks we are not looking. If you can cope with it being American and rather "cheesy" it is bright, colourful and full of music and fun.

VHS : Goosebumps - Stay Out Of The Basement
Poor Margaret. She never realised how worse her life could get- especially if it had to do with her father, who is a workaholic. Her father has been working down in the Basement most of his life (it seems) and has never really paid much attention to his children- who he brought into the world. Lately, it seems that Margaret's father has been acting rather strangely. Margaret wouldn't have noticed, if it wasn't for her brother, who made her go down into the basement- to get his jacket, as he dropped in a rush to get out.

While her father is out, Margaret slips down into the basement with her brother to see what has been going on. If it wasn't for the living plants that seemed to be acting as if they were ... Read More:

Though nothing like the book, I still find the video fun to watch. Shawn Ashmore, Brooke Nevin, Boris Cabrera, Nadia Nascimento, and Christopher Ralph are among my favorite actors and actresses around, and they show excellent acting in the video. Even though the show is nothing like the book, the actors and actresses in the video bring the characters in the book to the shows. They act out their characters with such precision, and thats what makes the video as close to the book as it can as far as the characters go.

After I saw this film at the cinema, I actually enjoyed it. OK, it's not AS good as the first two, but at least it's still enjoyable. However, this is a million times better than the fourth, which I didn't enjoy very much.

VHS : Innerspace [1987]
What a funny thrill ride this movie is! A man (Dennis Quaid) volunteers to be shrunk down to the size of a cell and injected into a rabbit. But terrorists are after this scientific breakthrough and by various hijinks he winds up being injected into the butt of a nervous grocery clerk, played by Martin Short. And that's just the beginning.

Innerspace shows Dennis Quaid at his most winning, and Short at his funniest. And of course, there's a very young Meg Ryan as their love interest. The jokes resonate with both kids and adults, and unlike most action-adventure films, the plot here is never short of ideas. And the effects are pretty neat too: as we see Quaid's character wander within the human body, we feel as much amazement and wonder as he does. ... Read More:
