VHS : Hobson's Choice [1954]
For those who didn't know, and I was one of them, a Hobson's choice is a free choice, but where only one option is really available. At the end of Hobson's Choice, a fine, vulgar, poignant and very funny film directed by David Lean, this is what Henry Horatio Hobson faces. Elements of the plot are discussed.

Hobson (Charles Laughton) is a prosperous shoe and boot merchant in the small town of Salford, England. The time is the 1880s. Hobson is a widower, a blusterer, a man accustomed to his comforts, his drink and his ease. He is, thanks to Laughton, larger than life, a man we can laugh at but not a man we'd probably want as a neighbor. He has three daughters. Maggie (Brenda De Banzie) is 30. She is, says her father, "a bit ripe" ... Read More:

Is ther actually a funnier show on TV? From Phoebe's hilarious, off the wall quips to Joey's side-splitting stupidity, this show has it all. The two latter esisodes focusing on the magnificant Phoebs are both hilarious and emotional, without giving too much away, and form the basis for one of the most monumental storylines in 'Friends' history

VHS : Carry On Spying [1964]
Carry On Spying marked the debut appearance in a Carry On Film of the bubbly Barbara Windsor who would become a sex symbol in the series. This amusing paraody of the James Bond films is another classic in the series. Desmond Simpkins (Kenneth Williams) along with his three extra-special agents by his side (Barbara Windsor, Bernard Cribbins, Charles Hawtrey) all plot to take on the malevolent powers of STENCH, namely Dr. Crow, Milchmann and The Fat Man, members of the Society for the Extinction of non-conforming Humans. Clues to the exact location of STENCH HQ lead the quartret of spies into the heart of Harry Lime country in Vienna, the Casbah and finally the corridors of the Orient Express.
Fun and adventures all the way with the gangs reaching ... Read More:

Carry On suited the smutty seventies, and here is smut and innuendo in abundance.

Kenneth Williams and co are bang on form, following an interesting plot, with some seemingly improvised on-location action filmed in Brighton towards the end of the story.

There is a great early-seventies feel to this film: the cliches about union power, nudge-nudge jokes about sex, and flared trousers.

On an analytical level, the timing is great, the script hilarious and the gags almost non-stop.

In a nutshell, its a scream!

This was the most embarrassing mess from Tim Burton. It should be deleted from his CV very quickly. It was so bad I thought that Ron Howard made it.
Synthetic rubbish. The story was like someone from Deliverance pitched a fairy tale to Walt Disney. I'm ashamed to have rented it, I felt like vomiting after it ended.

Dear oh dear..

Dennis has done it again.

He is truly awful to about every single individual he manages to meet as he scuttles between LA and London, ripping every shred of dignity and arrogance out of Rodeo Drives A-list coven.

But to be quite honest I don't care because he is hilarious. From walking into the BBC canteen and stealing every ounce of food by stuffing it down his trousers, to tweezing highly personal details out of Pierce Brosnan, his razor sharp wit (with an acidic bite) paralyses his targets - reducing them to the shallow beings they really are.

At least he has the courage to tell Cher that she's been over accesorising her face with a staple gun. I would.

This is a quality tape and includes an incredibly ... Read More:

VHS : Honey, I Shrunk The Kids [1989]
Rick Moranis plays a scientist who is determined to invent a working shrink ray but with no luck until one day and accident occurs and a baseball becomes a part of the shrink machine which finally gets it working.
Looking for the baseball the scientists kids and the kids from next door venture into the attic where the shrink ray is stored and worked on. When the kids are in the attic the shrink ray fires and shrinks the kids so that's when the adventure begins.
Because i aint seen this movie in a long time they somehow end up in the backyard which gets them into a whole lot of trouble.
They adopt an ant and fight a scorpion, this movie is excellent and the set design is awesome so watch this movie because you will love every second of it.
