I titled this deliberatly. I don`t like Chaplin. I allways found his work "twee". I point this out as I am sure there are many like me out there, and it would be a real shame if you were put off seeing this masterpiece as a result of seeing his other work. It is a real work genius, of perfection. This is a film Orsone Wells would have been proud to have made. This is a film Mel Brooks would have been proud to have made! A younger Woody Allen could have had aspirations. Nobody else could come close to this. Mercifuly free of schmaltz, powerful, heartbreaking, genuinely shocking, witty, surreal and downright hilarious by turn, it should be part of the national curriculum. Began in 1938, a year before the war, Chaplin saw what was coming, and begged ... Read More:

this is the best film will hay ever made; by this time in his career, he was at his peak, the on-screen chemistry of him and moore marriott and graham moffatt would become timeless thanks to this and their next film "ask a policeman," and hay easily rivalled george formby at the box office.
this is the earliest example i've seen of the crooks of the film using a ghost theme as a cover-up for their illegal activities and it works wonders. this provides a few chills as well as laughs.
my personal favourite scene is where hay and his cohorts are stuck on a moving windmill. pure genius.
at this time, will hay made the shocking announcement that he didn't want to work with his two regular co-stars anymore. they would only appear ... Read More:

Every character and sketch is shown in this video of their sell-out last ever show. History today, people of restricted seriousness, Jay-jay, the Poltergeist and, of course, David Baddiel's ranting monologues. Classic

Wonderful comedy you can enjoy with your family! You will notice something new each time you watch this. Best car chase ever, ever!!! The "Sheet of Glass" sequence is sheer brilliance! I believe Peter Bogdanovich (Director), made this movie as a tribute to the slapslick movies of the 1930's, etc.
This is in my top three comedy films of all time, the other two being, "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstien", Both directed by Mel Brooks. Strangely, Madelene Kahn is in all three of these movies, Gene Wilder is in two, Kenneth Mars is in two, the old guy,(can't remember his name), is in all three! How weird is that!
I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a a good comedy you can watch with the kids.
My rating: Absolutely ... Read More:

Two Hollywood greats combine well to create this lovable film.

Set in 1930's USA, Clint Eastwood plays the tough cop and Burt Reynolds the charming private detective as they fight two crime gangs, intent on seizing financial ledgers which could ruin one gang or elevate the other, should they fall into the wrong hands.

Humorous film with plenty of action thrown in.

"I wanna know what love is
I want you to show me
I wanna feel what love is
I know you can show me"
(Foreigner)

This is one of my favorite movies from the eighties, and one that I really wanted to see again, except that it's been very hard to find. I finally got a copy and watched it again recently, and surprisingly, it's still fresh and extremely watchable.

Short Attention Span Summary (SASS):

1. Boy (Lenny von Dohlen) meets computer
2. Boy meets girl (Virginia Madsen)
3. Computer meets girl
4. Girl and computer share a Minuet #4 in G
5. Quirky love triangle develops

Miles Harding (von Dohlen) buys a "state of the art" computer system to help him design ... Read More:

His best vehicle by a mile, and I can never help wondering, when I watch this film, if a certain ex-milkman, Mr.Benny Hill went to the pictures to see this, and got mightily inspired by it. There is some nice direction in this movie, and though it's way over the top in its silliness, and opens with quite a slothful, drawn out sequence, it owns some quite memorable comedy scenes. This certainly isn't Peter Cook, and will probably always be considered low comedy, but I wouldn't mind betting that many people with a finer taste in comedy allow themselves the odd low snigger at his antics on the golf course or on the end of a lawnmower. I love the theme of this film in particular, as it's one that is still very topical today, about big corporate giants bullying the little ... Read More:

A completely surreal and hillarious film by Louis Malle. Those who have read the original book will love the film adaptation. Zazie, a little French girl, visiting Paris and staying with her uncle (Ton-Ton) dreams of doing only one thing: Riding the Paris Metro. But as luck has it, the Metro is on strike and instead Zazie finds herself in the mad day and night life of 1960s Paris. She meets all sorts of crazy adults that go through adult problems, like bi-sexuality, love, loss of youth and beauty, even perversion and greed...all these characters she either loves, hates or simply drives them crazy in poignant way that only a child can get away with. Highly recommended!

This is a good commedy, a sexy commedy with good funny situations. Unfortunatelly, the film video have many cuts and so, 20 mins are lost.
The funny things are not with naked woman. It's like Carry on series with some acteurs of this commedy english series.
