VHS : Boogie Nights [1998]
Ok before i start my review of this movie/DVD please note that the comments other people have made about the aspect ration being messed up are wrong! I found no problem what so ever with this disc and there was certainly no "oogie Nights" at the start!
Now onto the movie....
This film rightly deserves to be called a classic. Why? Becuase it's unique. There have been a few imitations (Wonderland is one) but non have ever come close to the sheer power and honesty of this movie. Many people see the porn industy as glamour and non stop partying. But as this movie proves there is much more to it. These people have lives and, just like you and i, they have problems. The film starts off charting the rise to fame of "Dirk Diggler" the new ... VHS : Sex And The City - Series 1 [1999]
The first season of "Sex and the City" is full of great moments. It's a true must-have for any fan of the show because it introduces each of the characters, and sets up thier various storylines in a way not seen in later seasons. It's also really interesting to see how the programme has changed from this first season to the last. I also found that alot of the episodes were brand new to me because this season is so rarely broadcast on television.

The problem with this DVD Boxset is that the video quality isn't what it should be. The video has been ported directly from it's original American NTSC format and unfortunatley it has a very grainy quality to it. This is the only real problem with the DVD boxset and it's a shame that the publishers ... Read More:

Very pleased to see this again. A dark comedy, very funny and the actors seem to relish their roles. A joy to watch.

I got this film because it looked like a comedy on the front cover and i like comedy films and yes' it was very funny not rude just a nice and funny comedy. its adout a man looking for his father but on the way meets some snow dogs. A great film for all the family. A kid who lives next door to me said he had seen funner but i think he needs to get a since of humour because i think this is great. So if you like a film with good comedy buy this.

Okay, so this is no Carry On masterpiece, but it will certainly put a smile upon your face!

Barry Evans stars in this 'saucy' sex farce about a randy Taxi Driver, and the opening scene is suitably funny as we see Diana Dors playing the part of his mother marvellously! This is what made Dors so great - the contrast of parts she went on to play. It is hard to believe that just several years earlier, she was playing the 'blonde bomb shell' ('Tread Softly Stranger') and although she was still beautiful, was not afraid to don some theatre make up later on and play character roles.

After the opening scene mentioned, this movie is a bit slow, but bear with it as it does get going, and it gets more amusing as the minutes pass! ... Read More:

This film was a wonderful discovery and proved to be a great family film for us and teenage daughter. She said she wasn't sure when it began if she was going to like it but stuck with it and loved it.

None of us speak French so relied on the subtitles to a certain extent. However the actor playing M. Pignon is superb - masterly comic timing and you couldn't help but watch him. The whole cast delivered great perfomances while the plot developed at a good pace, spinning the situation further out of control. We all laughed out loud.

I can highly recommend this comedy if you are looking for something better than average.

The movie Fra Diavolo is based on an Opera but I cannot imagine that the Opera was as funny as this movie. It is the story of the feared bandit Fra Diavolo. Stan & Ollie are the comedy element. The storyline is basically that they want to become bandits so that they can "start at the top and get to the bottom without working hard". Because they have not much luck, they pretend, that Ollie is Fra Diavolo. Unfortunatelly, the person they want to rob turns out to be Fra Diavolo himself. First he wants to hang both of them, but then he says that he will give Stan another chance, if he hangs Ollie. While he is trying to do this, Stan asks Ollie if he wants to be buried or should stan have him stuffed. In the end, Stan & Ollie end up as Fra Diavolo's servants. ... Read More:

I LOVE this film so much. It is so funny. The music is great, and the memories of the 90's are hysterical. The cast is absolutely fantastic. You'll love every character. This is a film that will have you smiling from start to finish. The soundtrack is fantastic.

Adam and Drew give a great performance. I love Adam's 'Outburst' song about Linda. Love John Lovitch's version of ' Lady's Night' .....'CHAKA KHAN'...brilliant !!!

I like the fact that Adam continously puts his friends and family in his films.

The Wedding Singer and Happy Gilmore are films you could watch over and over again.

Adam is a comic genius, and loved by us all. I have forgiven him for 'Going Overboard' (I'm still confused by that film...what the hell ... Read More:

This was the most embarrassing mess from Tim Burton. It should be deleted from his CV very quickly. It was so bad I thought that Ron Howard made it.
Synthetic rubbish. The story was like someone from Deliverance pitched a fairy tale to Walt Disney. I'm ashamed to have rented it, I felt like vomiting after it ended.
