VHS : Doctor Who - Planet Of The Spiders [1974]
Every time I watch this one, it starts off superb but then by episode four it starts to collapse. Patrly because the Metebelis Three people are so stupid and can't act. There are mostly good speical effects all along, and the regeneration is fairly standard, but female spiders?

VHS : The Hour Of The Pig [1994]
Clever Parisian lawyer moves to the country to bring law to the people, but finds himself outsmarted by simple country folk at every turn. Of course he decides that if you can't beat them, join them - especially when he finds himself defending a pig on a charge of murder. In a world where a man and a donkey are prepared for execution and the donkey gets a reprieve and the man doesn't, what would you do? In the end he unwittingly makes a lucky escape and the "smart" folk don't. Good clean fun - except for the dirt and squalor - with a memorable turn from Ian Holm as a less-than-upright priest.

VHS : Sleeping With The Enemy [1991]
I found the film a fantastic interpretation of how completly loanly, trapped, and not forgetting just how fearfull someone would feel if in this situation. Julia Roberts portrat of this charector was excelent she brought out all sorts of emotions from my feeling fear, hurt, worthless, anger, I felt I was alongside her charector wanting to help her I found myself shouting at the screen on a number of accasions, also the way I was made to feel towards the husband was quiet real. The ending was outstanding I got to the point of very vilent thoughts being made towards the husband. A great insight to how domestic vilence can be at this extream and how difficult it would be for the wife to escape the violence the amount of planing it would take and the time ... Read More:

VHS : Doctor Who - The Awakening/Frontios [1963]
A well written and well produced story, this boasts one of Peter Davison's finest ever portrayals of the Doctor. here is is strong, domineering, quirky, eccentric, funny and manipulative in turns, commanding the screen and dealing with human authorities and nasty, scheming alien creatures with equal amounts of authority. Anyone who thinks davsion is not one of the best Doctors needs look no further than this story to see the emergence of a giant, ready to become an unsurpassed legend just two stories later as he visits a set of titular Caves! Watch it and savour it, it is one of the finest! The dialog alone is a treat to ears! Watch it!

VHS : Play Misty For Me [1971]
this is a brilliant film, the crazed stalker of clint eastwood who appears everywhere he goes and somehow in her deluded world believes that they are both meant to be together after just a one night stand. It's a chilling fim and does remind me ever so slightly of 'fatal attraction' which is another brilliant, tense piece of art. This is totally heart-stopping, watch it!!!

18.Devil's Advocate [1998] starring: Keanu Reeves, Al Pacino, Charlize Theron, Jeffrey Jones, Judith Ivey

VHS : Devil's Advocate [1998]
Did anyone notice that the Satan's name in this entertaining-but-flawed flick is Milton, and that the marble reliefs which come to tantalizing life on Al Pacino's wall also allude to the great English poet's masterpiece?

I feel that "Devil's Advocate" has some good material, including touches of humor, some stunning cinematographic effects, and the performances by Ms. Theron and Al Pacino, who chews the scenery with such devilish panache that he dominates Keanu Reeves (but perhaps that is the point). And while the film, which combines legal ethics (or the lack of them) with the "Rosemary's Baby" genre, held my interest from start to finish, it did not quite come together--whether because of choppy editing or the "Dallas" option that precedes the ending, ...
