VHS : ABBA Karaoke Featuring Bjorn Again
I bought this Video after going to a Bjorn Again concert, as a huge abba fan this video lets me sing along whilst watching Bjorn Again in concert. The words appear at the bottom of the screen so it is easy to sing along and still watch the concert, Bjorn Again are superb at mimicking Abba and giving the songs a Bjorn Again twist in places. There are 11 songs and every one is a classic abba song that everyone knows and will want to sing along to. I recommend this to anyone who likes Abbas songs, you'll be singing along till you have no voice left, ive had it a day and have already watched it three times! Go on Treat Yourself!!

As the modern London International Tattoo is now to take place annually at the indoor Wembley Arena it is an appropriate time to review the one of the biggest open air military band events ever held at Wembley. This video captures the excellent live performances by some of the world's leading military bands and as a piece of military history should be added to anyone's video library who enjoys military music. With thousands of performers it was a tremendous event and this video captures the spectacle of it all very well.

Songs like God Save the Queen, Anarchy in the USA, Bodies, Holidays in the Sun and Pretty Vacant are blasted out. VHS : Industrial Symphony No. 1 - The Dream Of The Broken Hearted [1989]
This bizarre piece of performance art is one for die-hard Lynch fans only, featuring some of the most off the wall imagery. Cruise's performance of Up In Flames is excellent. In terms of content, this is more something to keep an eye on than watch intently, as you see more out of the corner of your eye than trying to stare full on at it. Look out for Nic Cage and Laura Dern (or are they) reprising their roles from Wild At Heart at the beginning.

And this second series is testiment to this fact. It sees the gang in "La La Land" as Hannah from the group calls it, trying to make themselves famous yet again and getting nowhere at the same time. The acting is much better this time round, the storylines are a lot better but not only that, the punchlines are even more hilarious, my favourite being from the episode "Fall Out"...

TINA (to Jon): I'm not talking to you!
JON (to Tina): Well I'm not talking to you
*continues with Paul & Hannah, and Brad and Jo, until it gets to Rachel...*
RACHEL: I haven't got anyone to not talk to!

I recommend the second series to you highly if you own the first- you'll love this just as much!

VHS : Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (Disney)
Although the events of this film sit within the time-scale of the original, it is an interesting exploration of some of the untouched themes from its predecessor.

The Beast's dislike of Christmas is assumed by the audience to be simple 'Scrooge'-ism. As the story unfolds, we discover a deeper, more personal rationale for his aversion.

The addition of new characters - Forte (voiced by Tim Curry) and Fife (Paul Reubens - aka Pee-Wee Herman) - gives the story room to expand.

Ultimately, though, this one is strictly for the real fans - or at least, completists! :)

VHS : Kissin' Cousins [1964]
Would you believe that Kissin' Cousins was MGMs highest grossing film ever, when it was released in 1964?.......true.

But it aint that good; the cast is excellent, one or two cracking songs and some good scenes. But overall this flimsy comedy is weak, and a sign of films to come over the nest 3 years or so.

Thankfully his final 3 films or so were very good, and redress the balance of the guff between 64 - 68; Roustabout/Viva Las Vegas and Frankie and Johnny aside.

140.The Royal Opera in Les Contes d'Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann) [1981] starring: Placido Domingo, Lucianna Serra, Ileana Cotrubas, The Royal Opera Chorus and Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, John Gielgud
