VHS : Cry Baby [1989]
This film is one of my favourites as it's so funny and it always puts me in a better mood after I watch it! The gorgeous Johnny Depp is wonderful as Wade 'Cry Baby' Walker who is a drape and catches the eye of sweet Alison, played by Amy Locane and seduces her to the world of 50's rock and fast cars.

This film is highly enjoyable and I would reccomend it to anyone who doesn't take things too seriously!

I been an acdc fan for years and have about 14 of their albums.

This live performance is great and the music is probably the best live I've ever heard from them.

Why oh why has this not been remastered to improve the sound and re-released on dvd? I'm sure there are 10000s acdc fans that would snap up such a dvd....

VHS : The Jolson Story /Jolson Sings Again [1946/1949)
As a new fan of Al Jolson the videos give a great insight into the talented man. The music in both video's is timeless. Larry Park's performance in both video's is excellent. My six year old daughter loves them, my 60 year father watched them first time around in the late forties and loved them and I love them too.

VHS : The Paul Simon Special
This video is a recording of a TV Special that was shown on US TV in 1978. The cover is slightly misleading because it shows stills of Simon from his 1980 One-Trick Pony Tour but the video does not include material from this album. However this cover was clearly created at the time of the videos release in 1991 with some library photos rather than stills from the video.

It is a slightly strange show in that it appears to be a behind the scenes look at the day before the filming of the special. In a low-key comedy way, Paul Simon is irritated by a catalogue of disasters and mishaps that frustrate and annoy him.

It starts with the singer songwriter having to struggle with his own guitar case and luggage from a cab to the ... Read More:

VHS : Raymond Briggs' The Snowman
Like the title of this review says, this film is a true classic. It tells the story of a young boy who builds a snowman that comes to life at midnight. This film is the only film I have ever seen that is funny, magical and sad at the same time. It is also the first one that I have seen that had no dialogue in, but watching it now, I think that the filmmakers were right not to put any in. Having said that, I am SO GLAD that the enchanting song "Walking in the air" is in it. I am also glad that it is hand-drawn, not computer animated. I know that, if you look at the film very closely, there are small errors, but, because they don't have any effect on the story, they really don't matter.
If this film is not part of your collection of videos ... Read More:

Garland has a pretty nasty voice by any measure, and the songs themselves set a high standard in banalty.

The awful sweetness of this DVD would make a hardened sailor wretch, but the thing trots along briskly enoough, for which it merits 2, not 1 stars.

VHS : Daniel O'Donnell - Follow Your Dream Live [1992]
This was the first video I viewed of Daniel and from that day I was really interested to see more of his video's. The most important caption of this video was the true feeling of all songs and the audience they all had tears in there eyes. The true story of his life, where the Lord took away his voice for some reason and when he repented for all wrong doings he was given every thing back.A few songs that took me by surprise,'You by my side".It's sad that none of these are available on DVD it would be great to consider this proposal.
