VHS : Mad Max 2 - Road Warrior [1981]
Ive watched this film more times than any other since it was first released on VHS in 1983. It made a lasting impession on me and ive never seen it bettered by any others of its type including 1985's Thunderdome.
So many elements are combined here; SciFi, Horror, Action, Western, Revenge Thriller and combined well. Mad Max was good but this really ramps it up.
Set in a desolate and lawless future Australian outback after the fall of civilisation(post world war 3 but NOT after a nuclear conflict - the Bombs fall in the years between parts 2 & 3) the saga continues of Max Rockatansky, the embittered and battle hardened warrior of the wasteland, constantly at war with the ferocious marauders who terrorise the apocalyptic landscape. ... VHS : Doctor Who - Pyramids of Mars [1975] [1963]
Dr. Who, one of the true cult figures of our time
that is the father of X-files, is best seen
through the actor Tom Baker, and on DVD.

This is one of the shows(!) that
combines nice ( and not so outdated ) special effects, and great acting to
produce the most excellent episode of Dr. Who ever. The story is of course a bit
far fetched, but give the rest a chance, buy this DVD, and you will be
entertained.

And maybe you will be as surprised as I was when all the amount of
horror movies created today with a world of computer graphics,
can't top the chilling feeling you get from watching this (made in 1975!).

This is an amazing piece of animation a must for all fans. The only criticism is that for now we can only get it on VHS, and that is the only reason for giving it 4 stars when it hits DVD, as i'm sure it must, it'll warrant the other star. If you can't wait for a DVD release, and unlike me don't already have this in your collection get it now I can't reccomend it highly enough. Also i'd say if you like this then give aeon flux a look, MTV did some masterful stuff back in the day.

VHS : P.R.O.B.E. - Ghosts Of Winterborne
The second instalment in a two-part story, "Ghosts of Winterbourne" further describes the events in the lives of Andrew Powell and co., particularly how the student falls victim to the horrific charms of Isaac Gretorex in human form. With all the intensity and unpredictability of Mark Gatiss' previous effort, "Devil of Winterbourne", "Ghosts" is by no means a let-down, and no characteristics are evident of "sequel syndrome", in which half of the film is taken up describing the events of the previous movie. With the only new characters taking up minor roles (the new school chums of Andrew Powell), the interaction between the principle actors loses none of the magic or power evident in "Devil". Noticeable is the absence of Georgie (Gatiss' own character), who had the ... Read More:

VHS : She [1965]
Hammer's 1965 version of She can't match Merian C. Cooper's 1935 version for spectacle but it's still rather more handsomely mounted than you'd expect from the studio: location shooting, numerous sets and more extras than usual even if these descendants of Ancient Egyptians seem to have an army consisting of Roman legionaries. The most commercially successful adaptation of `the famous novel by H. Rider Haggard' (as the credits bill it), even inspiring a dreary sequel, The Vengeance of She, it's also surprisingly good, with rather more substance than you might expect.

Played partially as an old-fashioned adventure with far more action than any other version, the story is updated to post-WW1 Palestine, its explorers (Peter Cushing, John Richardson and mild ... Read More:

This is a dark, at times grim and violent but enjoyable and clever outing for Colin Baker. Like Peter Davison and Sylvester MacCoy, Colin Baker is a typical John Nathan Turner kind of Doctor, one that does not immediately appeal in the same way as the first four Doctors, but who will defintiely grow on you eventually if you give him a chance or three. This tale is well suited to the colorful clown and his black heart, he fits in well and the character of Sil is sadistic and slimy in all the right ways. Martin Jarvis is good here too. This is a solid example of the black comedy and satire which makes the Colin Baker era totally unique. If they hadn't sacked him, he would probably have gone on to be a total legend, like the first five Doctors before him. Overall, exellent!

This is a very wonderful movie and unforgattabale as well, and it has many great things like good acting, cast, storyline, action, all from seventies and peformed fantastically. I think any one who love sci-fi storys or movies must have this as a reference.

But why they didnt realese it yet in Region 2 DVD? Im waiting for long time to have it in region 2 for better picture quality.

Although the episodes themselves were great (I've seen them before) I was VERY disappointed with the dub. Not only could you hear the japanese over the english dub, but you can barely hear the english dub. I have seen these episodes before, dubbed perfectly, so why is this video dubbed so badly?

VHS : Soylent Green - Special Collector's Edition (1973)

What a film!. Everyone should watch & understand what we on earth might end up like.

This Film offers good acting with limited effects, offering none stop chilling action story from start to end.

The story allows you to wounder what Soylent Green is about, & why are the rich always better off.

I read most of the reviews before renting from Amazon offering good inside to this film.

Should you watch too, then yes. I would like to see this film played out each year on T.V for all to see.

Rent it, be completely taken away to our Earth World! & the problems we might find in the future, if we dont stop & think first.

The film gives a good view if we had limited food, water & the ... Read More:
