First of all, the two episodes are in the wrong order, but thankfully it does not affect the plot.

In the first episode, we witness the end of the Narn/ Centauri war. It is a powerful and dramatic episode, as the characters involved are played by forces beyond their reach. Mollari is trapped between his loyalty to his race and his obligations towards his dark allies; G'Kar foresees the danger, but pride and honour make his efforts fail. Meanwhile, Sheridan does his best to help the defeated Narn population, and he founds himself in command of unexpected allies.

A very powerful episode. Don't miss it.

In the second part, we see Lyta Alexander, the rogue telepath and the only known human who has ever seen a Vorlon, ... Read More:

This is another great set of videos. Unfortunately, due to lack of information on them, I had already bought videos of 4 of the 8 episodes. Ah well.

For those who'd like to know, the set includes...

From season 3... Scorpion Parts 1&2 (Feature Length), Scientific Method

From season 4... Dark Frontier Parts 1&2 (Feature Length), Think Tank

From season 5... Survival instinct, The Voyager Conspiracy.

Hope this helps someone. :-)

'ST the movie' is a real 'movie.' Meaning: not made for watching on the small screen. The best part of the movie is it's visuals: long, drawn-out scenes of the Enterprise docking or V-ger swallowing our heroes whole. Great subtle music; effects pre-CGI but it all looks great(if a bit dated, especially the opening shot of the three Klingon warbirds)
Revelation at the end also struck me as pretty original. (And that's saying something in the SF-universe)
But: what's up with gloomy Spock? Hey buddy, i know you're a broody Vulcan and all that, but you're half happy-go-lucky human as well! Forget?

VHS : V - The Original Classis Film - Parts 1 and 2 [1984]
As a 13 year old kid in 1983, the original V miniseries was huge; it seems like all of my friends watched it and talked about it. Certain memories of this small screen epic have stayed with me for many years, and I was overjoyed when the miniseries was released on VHS. What kid could forget the images of the giant motherships hovering above our major cities, the first glimpse at the true, reptilian faces of the visitors underneath their human masks, and--above all else--the horrible yet incredibly cool sight of watching the visitors eating live rats and other small creatures? This really was a landmark event in television and science fiction; if my memory serves me, this was actually one of television's very first miniseries and did much to lay the groundwork for future successes ... VHS : The X Files : Season 6 Box Set
After a "no answers" movie and an increasing shift towards that incomprehensible conspiracy arc, I'm not sure what's so bad about The X-Files becoming a lighter show. After all, fans should know by now that the series isn't going to stop and politely spell it all out. Well actually, in season six, it kind of does. The two parter, Two Fathers/One Son sums up pretty quickly a lot of tediously confusing concepts. It's summed up two or three times actually. To have loose ends finally tied up feels very gratifying.

And yes, season six has a lot of comedy. Most of it works (two parter Dreamland is unmissable, Arcadia is wryly funny, and The Unnatural is sweet), even if it does point to the show running out of ideas. Hence Biogenesis spreading tons of new convoluted ideas into the ... Read More:

VHS : Doctor Who - The Mark Of The Rani
This is a pleasant and watchable tale from Pip and Jane Baker (Space:1999), a pair who are noted for their reliable professional reputation, rather than for writing anything terribly Earth shattering. The result is a highly watchable and inoffensive script with solid research behind it, but a story which is less than the sum of its parts. The Master and new evil Time Lord the Rani make a good double act and their interaction is as enjoyable as that of the Doctor and Peri. Whatever Colin Baker did wrong in the eyes of audiences in 1985, he remains far more engaging than Sylvester MacCoy and his costume, while outrageous, is certainly eye catching and attention grabbing. His sheer energy makes him never less than entertaining to watch. This story is directed with real skill by Sarah Hellings, ... Read More:

VHS : Fist Of The North Star
An absolute classic; shamelessly violent yet staunchly idealistic. As you would expect it to be in a post apocalyptic future as codes of honour fall apart and a world of thuggish and brutish intimidation and backstabbing run riot through the remnants of this world. Throw in the textbook stories of jealousy between brothers in a battle for their fathers title, a love triangle of two closest friends, and a struggle for hope. You’ve got the makings of a classic only let down by the often ambitious style and the seemingly lacking animation.

Yet as with our man in the story, this film still prevails as in the end you still have a great story even if the ending seemed a little disappointing and feel left with a slightly unfinished tale. However the part we have got is the far greater ... Read More:

VHS : Stargate SG-1 Vol. 1.1 Missions 1.01 - Children Of The Gods, The Next Mission [1998]
this is one of my favourite SG videos. Both, as well as being quite touching are also very intriguing and held my attention untill the end. The 'tormet of tantalus' sees the teem travel to a world where it seems a man has been trapped alone for 50 years. They arrive with his ageing fiancee. But as usual things dont go exactly to plan and its Daniel (facinated by ancient technology again) who may jepardize their safety.
'Cold lazarus' is where this video gets my 5 stars. It is a showcase for the tallent and versatility of Richard Dean Anderson. An alien force who injures O'Neil takes on his form and trys to heal him by taveling back through the stargate with SG-1. The alien energy discovers that the mental scars of his sons tragic death are beyond any physical that can be healed.
Its not all ... Read More:
