VHS : V - The Original Classis Film - Parts 1 and 2 [1984]
As a 13 year old kid in 1983, the original V miniseries was huge; it seems like all of my friends watched it and talked about it. Certain memories of this small screen epic have stayed with me for many years, and I was overjoyed when the miniseries was released on VHS. What kid could forget the images of the giant motherships hovering above our major cities, the first glimpse at the true, reptilian faces of the visitors underneath their human masks, and--above all else--the horrible yet incredibly cool sight of watching the visitors eating live rats and other small creatures? This really was a landmark event in television and science fiction; if my memory serves me, this was actually one of television's very first miniseries and did much to ... Read More:

VHS : Doctor Who - The Ribos Operation [1978]
This is the first, and arguably, the best of the Key to Time series of Doctor Who. In it, the Doctor, K-9 and new assistant Romana are sent to the primitive planet Ribos, in order to obtain the first segment of the Key to Time - an all-powerful device which holds the universe in equilibrium. On their way they encounter the con-man Garron and his sidekick Unstoff, who are attempting to decieve the villainous Graf into buying a whole planet.
Tom Baker is now into his fifth series as the fourth Doctor and gives an excellent performance. Iain Cuthbertson is superb as the likeable rogue Garron, while the Graf is a truly menacing villain. A special mention must go to Mary Tamm in her first appearance as Romana Mark 1. She makes a strong, memorable ... Read More:

I hate what people say about this horribly underated story. Its fantastic, funny and I love it to pieces! The Kandy man does not in the slightest remind me of Bertie Basset. He`s a brilliant villan, and him constantly screaming "GILLLBBBEEERRRTTT!!!!!!" just cracks me up. As for that loveable hound Fifi, it`s so sad when Helen A becomes a hypocrite over what happens to her pet(no spoilers here!). Ace is on top form, with the seventh doctor at his best (and you`ll cheer as he talks a man out of shooting him). A complete hoot from start to finish " The Happiness Patrol" is a memorable event in doctor who`s history.

VHS : Doctor Who - Silver Nemesis (The Extended Version) [1988] [1963]
It's hard to believe that "Silver Nemesis" got less than 5 stars average rating. This is an exceptionally good show, especially when you consider that it comes from the Sylvester McCoy era, where most shows were real stinkers! The lovely and attractive Ace is certainly a welcome addition, and the contrasting dialog between her and the Silver Nemesis sent chills up my spine. When Ace says, "Catch you later" to the Silver Nemesis, it's both funny and scary because we know Ace didn't know what to say. If you were faced with the Silver Nemesis you wouldn't know what to say either. It gives us a sense that these characters are very much out of time from each other, and have come together to do what they are suppose to do. Not everyone enjoys this form of entertainment, ... VHS : Doctor Who - The Twin Dilemma
This story has a terrible reputation, but it is actually watchable enough. Colin Baker goes all-out to show that his Doctor is going to be very different indeed from what has gone before and it is very brave to show an violently unstable doctor. This bravery could be said to have backfired, as in conjunction with THAT costume, Colin had two strikes against him in many viewers minds before he had even started a full season of his own. It's not a classic, but if you lower your expectations, you may enjoy it and - love it or loathe it - this is the very first story of one of the Doctors, which will always make it interesting in it's own way. whatever the quality.

VHS : Doctor Who - Terminus [1983]
Peter Davison's second season as the Doctor really fails to impress, and this is proof of that. After the drab story before this (mawdryn undead) we are given another dull runaround (or rather walk and crawlaround) in yet more corridors in yet another spaceship. Yawn. The fact that these corridors and rooms are deliberatley grey and faceless hardly adds to the excitement of this improbable and unconvincing story. The acting throughout is wooden (most notably Liza Goddard as the spaceship raider) and the scaffolding and plastic sheeting that represents terminus has to be one of the production team's less successful attempts at conjuring up an alien setting. It is, of course, impossible to take the Garm seriously. And the shock revelation that the engines of this boring spaceship ... Read More:

So you think this is the best season of the X Files, do you? Or perhaps you think it's one of the best? Is that what you think? Really, that's your honest opinion? You've searched deep inside yourself, thought about the quality of the show, the story, the lighting, the intelligence, the intrigue, the mystery, the music of all those fantastic years we all spent, and you feel that season 9 did it for you. Is that what you think?
Well, good for you, because I don't.

I dont agree with the views of many people about this GREAT story. I will list all the great things about it below:

Sylv McCoy: His debut as the Doctor is strong and really different from any of his predecessore. He really feels and comes across as really enjoying the role, and is full of enthusiasm for the role. He really does impress on this his first outing as one of the best incarnations of the time lord actually.

Kate O Mara: If anyone had to pretend to be the Doctors companion, no one else could have done it with the finesse that Kate O Mara does it with as the Rani in this story. Yes, and she is even stronger than in her debut and even seems to look younger! Shes really quite good looking.

Special Effects; This story definitely boasts some ... Read More:

VHS : Doctor Who - The Movie [1996]
Doctor Who - The Movie [1996] [1963] This is perhaps one of the most underated DVD's in the whole Doctor Who series both new and classic. The main problem is the bad guy or more specifically the actor who portrays him, Eric Roberts is a great bad guy in lots of B'Movies but just wasn't right for this film (his choice was forced on the writers/director due to pressure from the american backers). On the whole though the film is a great little jaunt, the interior of the TARDIS is fantastic and McGann plays the role fantastically. idea for the future (McCoy, McGann, Eccleston and Tennant) The Four Doctors

where do i start? i foolishly thought that this would somehow beas good as the first..how stupid was i? with its wooden acting and poor sets this mediocre, poorly acted/directed movie puts the truly wonderful first installment to shame. why can't people leave things as they are?? i guess due to the success of the first the directors wanted to perhaps make it more of a good thing, unfortunately 4 them they were wrong very wrong! As if the second wasnt bad enough they add insult to injury and do a third that bombed completely.
please if u are expecting this movie to be as charming and breath taking as the first u are sadly mistaken..i wouldnt waste ur money or time. it may well destroy your beleif in the movie business. i would give this movie an eighth of a star sadly i cant.
