My 20 month old boy is having good fun watching this video but I found that the 12 words is not sufficient and is too basic for his age. He enjoys watching the colourful scenes though. I think the video would be more appreciated if there is a print out supplied for the verses so that parents can read along with it. And they should produce an English version.

From the first time I saw this series, upgraded and improved in presentation from the early 90's version, I was in awe of the narration, photography and digital effects. This is one of a few presentations on insects which encourages the viewer to see their place and value in the world and to understand much about them and their differences. I have written to the BBC in 2002 to encourage them to re-release it on DVD for greater circulation. If you can get it, it is a classic.
