VHS : Baby Mozart - Music Festival
This is an excellent product. I got this when my little girl was a few months old, but unlike some of the other reviewers' children, my girl wasn't glued to the set. Don't get me wrong, she was interested but not fascinated. At 17 months now in September '07 I have started to put it back on for her and she is now transfixed by it. I was amazed by how quickly she was picking up on things, shouting "Choo" when the train comes on (as it often does) and how excited she gets when the furry animals come on.

I have just ordered the box set as I wanted the baby shakespeare for her and the box set was a bargain compared to getting them all individually.

My advice to all parents and uncles/aunts/godparents and grandparents ... Read More:

VHS : How To Jive - Le Roc French Jive
This video is excellent. If you want to learn the jive then buy this one. The dancing is good, the commentary is clear, and the natural progress from absolute beginner to advanced is made in distinct stages. Each of these stages is supplemented by clips of good club dancers having fun and reinforcing what you have already learned. There is no problem with the music on this video, the jive is danced to jive music. The club dancers have even dressed up accordingly in order to help radiate an atmosphere, and to add glamour to the performance. This is a video for your collection.

1982 was a year of superb close action racing, of ground effect and of terrible tradegy. Its nice to know that formula one today is so much safer, that aside I dont believe modern formula one gives you the overtaking or race action that you had from this period. I love seeing the legends of Lauda, Prost and Piquet not to mention Mansell, Pironi and Rosberg (the Champion) all battling wheel to wheel. You could never predict a race win back then, no launch control at the start line killing all the fun at the start, no pit lane speed limits, no 10 place driver penalties, and backmarkers that had to be overtaken with skill not flagged out of the way. Bring back this kind of racing and keep todays safety. Anyone agree?
Oh and I love Clive James's commentarys ... Read More:

VHS : Formula 1 Grand Prix Review 1995
A thoroughly good and long video! This is what F1 season reviews should be like!

This was a fairly dominant season for Schumacher as Damon Hill cracked under the pressure and wasn't helped by his inferior pitcrew. The video demonstrates how Benetton were able to get pitstops and strategies so right compared to Williams, and how that benefited Schumacher over Hill.

This season seen well deserved first victories for David Coulthard, Johnny Herbert and Jean Alesi. Included are some fine career summaries of all three drivers.

Clocking in at nearly three hours, this is how videos should be used.

Niki Lauda and Alain Prost contested a very competitive season of formula one action. Lauda already a double world champion paired with Alain Prost at Mclaren had his work cut out to match the pace of the young and determinded a quick new boy. Although Prost had been around in formula one since 1980, he actually came very close to being world champion in 83, but this was his best chance thus far in a very competitive McLaren MP4. However the cunning Lauda had other ideas, and his brilliance and race prowess eventually proved too much for Alain and he won his third World title. I watched this season unfold back in 84 and it made me a huge Lauda fan. His driving through the field was legendary. Great review and I love Clive James's commentary. Also amazing performance from ... Read More:

VHS : 90 Degrees South - With Scott To The Antarctic [1933]
Highly recommended for anyone interested in explorers, Antarctica or human-interest-led history. Ponting spent a year on Captain Scott's ill-fated 1910 Polar Expedition and this is the moving footage he shot with his intelligent and reserved narration dubbed over it. He mixes then-revolutionary footage of polar surroundings and wild-life with the involving every-day life for the explorers themselves. Although Ponting did not accompany Scott on the final polar journey, haunting still photographs and maps help to bring to life the end of the story. For anyone with so much as a passing interest in Scott or Antarctica, this is a throughly involving piece of film-making. The picture-quality is excellent and even in black and white, the icebergs and Great Barrier are quite ... Read More:
