VHS : The Plank [1967]
'The Plank' is an absolute classic, funny, hilarious. I have watched it umpteen times and I still find myself lying on the floor, laughing my butts off when I watch it again. I like to show it to my students in English lesson to demonstrate 'British humour', and then I sit in my corner finding it ravingly funny. My (German) students are mostly mildly interested. 'The Plank' obviously is British humour that does not offer its virtues to German teenagers at once. At least I had an enjoyable lesson, ain't that important ? I am now ordering a new copy since my old one is wearing out.

VHS : Steve Coogan - Live 'N' Lewd [1994]
This live video is a showcase for many of Steve Coogan's more underrated characters. The hilariously funny characters that are Alan Partridge and Tony Ferrino do not appear on this video. But, do not let this put you off from buying it, as you will be treated to some trully unforgetable characters.

You will meet Ernest Moss - The Chief Assistant to the Fire, Health and Safety Executive for the North West Region. Ernest, who first appeared in Coogan's Run, will give you a memorable lecture on, you guessed it, fire and Safety and I guarantee, it is the funniest lecture you will ever have the priviledge to see!

You will also meet up and coming comedian Duncan Thickett, who has an attack of the nerves as he gets on stage. Watch ... Read More:

VHS : Rosie And Jim - Summer Fun And Other Stories
A really entertaining collection of six stories involving Neil "tootle" with Rosie and Jim and their summer mischief! This really is a feel good video for both adults and children alike, my personal favourite being "Camping" where Neil tries to sleep in a tent which has been sabotaged by the naughty rag dolls! My fifteen month old little girl squeals with delight at the TV, and my four year old just cant get enogh of them. I have to confess that I enjoy them too - it just indulges that age old fantasy that we all had as children, of our dollies coming to life, but the grown ups dont know!
Very highly recommended, but be warned - you will get hooked too!

1: Tom Baker is excellent as the deranged Xoanon

2: Louise makes a brilliant entrance as Leela

3: The horda are cute.

4: The tesh are gits, but likeable ones, with their arm flapping!

5: Tom is great as ever as the Doc too.

6: The tribe have more developed characters than usual.

7: Great comic moments, especially how Leela runs into the TARDIS despite the Doc not really wanting to take her.

8: We for once get a sizeable chunk of story to see whats happened after the enemy has been thwarted, which is a nice change.

9: the staue looks impressive.

10: Good actual 25 min eps for a change!

Need I go on?
