VHS : Angel, Series 4 Part 2 [2000]
Season 4 split Angel fans down the middle - it's the TV equivalent of Marmite; you either love it or hate it.

I love it.

With this Season Angel truly became a programme for grown-ups. The story lines are complex and we see the characters go to places - emotionally and physically - that are new and unexpected. Relationships between some of the main characters continue to be strained with the introduction of a Cordy/Angel/Connor triangle, Wes' reintegration into the crew and the disintegration of Fred and Gunn's romance. In some ways these relationships are every bit as important as the season baddies, although the writers have made some great choices there. The ending is surprising and promises another totally original season ... Read More:

VHS : Doctor Who - The Invasion [1968]
A true classic in the world of Doctor Who. This is the second story to feature the second string arch enemies The Cybermen. The Cybermen were always a more believable foe than the trundling Daleks, their human appearance and weaponry was a more realistic enemy for the doctor and the world. This story is one of Patrick Troughton's best and show his space tramp style at its best. Frazer Hines is his assistant and the story works well even today. Two episodes are lost of this 8 parter and this video features a unique introduction and bridging to help the story make sense. Considering the vhs line is now deleted and the dvd releases are slow, I wouls suggest you tarck down as amny of these clasics as possible, they will always be collectable and will surely whet your ... This video has made my 4,6& 7 year olds more aware of the fundamentals of road safety not just as a pedestrian but as a passenger too.Two of my children have already done road safety walks at school but this was even better. It's full of informative catchy fun packed songs. The messages come across with the use of a colourful stage and imaginative props. I would highly recomend this vidoe. It was much loved by all who watched it . Thank you to everyone from the Singing Kettle.

VHS : Angel - Season 3 (Box Set 1) [2000]
Despite many story strands somewhat stretching belief, this half of "Angel"'s third season furthers a trend begun almost at its conception; consistently producing episodes stronger than that of its parent show, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Whether this is indicative of its strength or the latter's weakness is perhaps debatable, however, with unsurpassed moments of comedy ("Carpe Noctem"), drama ("Billy") and character development ("That Old Gang Of Mine," "Fredless," "Birthday"), it is clear that "Angel" has not suffered from its loss of crossovers with "Buffy;" on the contrary, it has been able to showcase its strengths and establish itself as an excellent show in its own right.

The pregnancy of Darla does, in my opinion, begin to show a slight spiral out of control, ... Read More:

VHS : Rugrats - Bedtime Bash
Bedtime Bash features more jolly japes from the Rugrats brats. If you can cope with the awful drawings and grating accents, as any child can, you'll love this. The scripts are clever and quick and full of ideas that appeal to all ages. There are five ten minute episodes 'Party Animals', 'Under Chuckies Bed', 'Tooth or Dare', 'Into the Dreamland' and 'The Last Babysitter'All of them have a sleep or going to bed theme (oh, that's why they called it bedtime bash, is it?) and the last is probably the best of the lot.If you can cope with an outmoded VHS format, it's value for money.

VHS : Doctor Who: Revenge of the Cybermen [1963]
I will confess that this story is not as good as I thought it would be but as time passes it does grow on me.

The cybermen themselves are back on track after their underused performance in 'The Invasion' and are seen to be a lot more cunning and manipulative. E.g. using human greed to aquire the services of a human agent. However I am disapointed that they don't have much involvement in the story until episode 3 but their performance makes up for that.

Tom Baker is excellent as the Doctor, as usual. His banter with the Cyberleader during episode three is a mixture of seriousness and silliness and thats what makes it so good.

Companions Harry and Sarah are seen to have their own mini adventure in this story trying to avoid capture by the Vogans which in ... Read More:

Always being a fan of when one reincarnation of the Doctor meets another, and being a fan of Colin Baker, I found this particular episode too tempting to miss. The story opens with Patrick Troughton and companion Jamie reasoning with a professor calling himself Distari - a man hell-bent on cracking the secrets of time travel for himself. There is a raid by persons unknown and the last thing Jamie sees is the Doctor being tortured to death in a giant container.

As this happens, the Doctor (Colin Baker) suddenly collapses in the Tardis, feeling himself weaken. The Doctor and Peri must find out what is happening before it is too late for the Doctor(s).

Set in a variety of locations ranging from a space station to Spain (believe it or not), this adventure plods along ... Read More:
