I don't normally enjoy exercising - I find it too arduous and not fun enough. However, with this video of Rosemary Conley, I feel as if I'm doing a fun dance, not exercising at all. She very sweetly and kindly gets me moving - not by shouting out army-like instructions, and I have real fun while getting an excellent workout. The waist, legs, thighs, everything is worked on during this 'dance'. It's the only video I want to use as it's so well paced and the pounds have really dropped off. A relaxed, very happy way to lose weight. Marvellous.

this was my first gay film and managed to stay on top of my favorites. The lead actor did a terrific job portraying a priest who is torn between his "duties" and homosexuality. hey, at least his lover was an adult unlike most of the highly publicized real life scandals with children.

I'm an averagely enthusiastic fan of Pertwee/Manning but this was soooo dull. I fell asleep (literally) the first time I tried to watch this and gave up the second. It seems the Green Death is coming out on DVD soon. Wait for that, it's a far better effort if you can get past Jo wanting to marry the idiot at the end.

In this video, as well as the exercises Lizzie talks with Dr Roy McGregor about the benefits of exercise, posture, and which foods to avoid. The exercises are split into three short sections, and you choose one to suit your level of fitness. I was a bit sceptical as to whether or not these exercises would work, as the sections seem very short, but after a few weeks I'm noticing a difference already. Well worth a try, if you're looking to get a flat stomach.

I loved this when I was a kid. Now I'm old (haha) and have kids of my own. We sat down together this weekend to watch this film.... I knew it would be good and that the kids would love it, but I had forgotten just how good it really is. Every scene in the film is intense - exciting, sad, funny, scarey... There is no let up from begining to end. One minute you want to cry because all seems lost and the scene is overwhelmingly sad. The next, your flying on the back of a dragon-dog all excited and enchanted. Having watched hundreds of films in my lifetime so far - I have to say that this is the best film I have ever seen. An absolute triumph.

This film is not great but it is worth a watch, my only warning is that you should watch it before reading the book (which is infinitely much better). I don't quite understand what went wrong when this made for TV film was made as the casting of Rutger Hauer and Miranda Richardson as Zavi and Charlie (Charlotte) was spot on, yet halfway through the film the plot changes from that in the book, ultimately ruining what could have been a brilliant film. With any luck another, more accurate, version of the book will be filmed in the near future, although who to cast will pose some problems...

There's a lot of stretching in this particular "Quick Callanetics" tape, and like all of these workouts, one is instructed to "work at one's own pace". The production is simple, with 3 students demonstrating along with Callan, who's lovely, musical voice is a big plus in making her videos enjoyable.
