VHS : Peter Kay - Live At The Bolton Albert Halls [2003]
From what I could hear of the show I would really agree with all the other reviews about how funny PK is. Unfortunately since my hearing was damaged I can't watch tv without subtitles anymore. There is no subtitle option on this dvd, which is a real shame cos it wouldn't have been that hard I'm sure. I know I missed a lot of what he said and I'm a bit narked about it Peter if you're reading, OK?!

VHS : Hear My Song [1991]
It doesn't matter if you have never heard of this Irish tenor, or even like that kind of music, this is a marvelously warm film. Adrian Dunbar is a promoter of a club, in the UK, who normally books look-a-likes, however after several disasters he decides to find the man himself - Josef Locke (yes, this is the correct spelling). He travels to Ireland and after some searching he finally meets him and persuades him to come back and do one last performance. The reason for Josef being in Ireland is to avoid UK tax, of which he owes an undisclosed amount. With the UK police trying to catch him this is a more than pleasant caper. (And I bet you can't help humming the main theme, "Hear my song")

VHS : Drowning By Numbers [1988]
Greenaway's films are always watchable for the cinematography, but in this one you can actually follow the story too. The plot is fairly simple but is padded out with descriptions of peculiar games that Madgett, the Suffolk coroner, and his strange son Smut invent to pass the time. Smut also celebrates any violent death (whether roadkill or drowned husbands) by painting a number at the scene and letting off fireworks. Yellow paint for Tuesdays, red paint for Saturdays (Tuesday is winning, being the best day for violent deaths). You can also try to count the ascending numbers from 1-100 that are placed in each scene. I only saw about half of them - some are well hidden.

There isn't a DVD version of the film available in the UK at ... Read More:

VHS : Gulliver's Travels [1996]
Because Gulliver is not only a story for little children, but at the same time a very ironical satire on social conditions, also adult viewers will find their pleasure. Who has a little insight into a psychological point of view, will moreover discover, that in the gigantic Gulliver, with whom the childlike spectator of course identifies himself at the first meeting, - that this Gulliver helps to become resistant against every nasty surroundings, which will happen to us in our lifetime, using a fantasy-based, satirical technique of making bad things small and unimportant! Swift gives a therapeutically example for children (always being the smaller ones, helpless, powerless at the lower rank of the social influence scale) how to make a wonderful reversal ... this video is very entertaining, it was a journey from the final ten to to the remaining two. i thought this video was very good and it had a good choice of songs. but i thought gareth and will would talk abit on the video and give us abit more gossip and behind the scenes footage, but it's not like that. if u watched every single show then it's all repeats. I would give this video 4 stars because theirs room for improvement!

Non-stop fun and music, keeps my 2yr old very happy indeed. The infectious fun and enthusiasm of Iain Lauchlan and his team are an example to other so-called kids tv presenters. Very highly recommended.
