This was the first game me and my sister bought (we went halfers on it) and i have to say we were excited abut it. First, let me say, in my opinion, is good about it...
1) The variety of puzzles: I liked how many different puzzles were in here, especially the maths puzzles (i ot down to 15 seconds for 30 and 45 for 100) and did see a big improvement on my maths. The clock challenge makes you think, but my personal favourite is sudoku. Before, i couldn't get into it, now i love it and i look forward playing to it.
2) The tests: the tests you take beofre you start and during your progress, although you have to enter it manually, and think that it would have been better if test were done in timed intervals.

I already own Indiana Jones on DS, and Lego Star Wars on GBA, and what an addition to my collection!

This game is awesome, there are so many different things to do and 30 levels. If they do not make a sequel, I will be so upset.

This a great puzzle pack......BUT I do find it very difficult to get it actually to get to the puzzle or game. The opening list of things to press to tell the DS to start up the chosen game seems to be over complicated.I do sometimes find I spend more time getting the thing up and running, hence have lost much playing time, and I certainly cannot pick it up casually play a short game or do a crossword unless I have plenty of time.Once it is in the puzzle mode all is fine......but then I am loathed to switch it off knowing I will have to go through the whole drama to start it up again !!!!!

I just got this game today and am hooked already. As an older Nintendo fan (40 something), I don't play all the shoot 'em up or beat the clock type games. I like games that I can play at my leisure and think about. This is definitely the one to have. Got it hooked up to my wireless internet easily and was playing backgammon with someone in no time. It's not one of those games where once you play to the end, you're done. Lots of variety and I'm sure it will keep me entertained for hours, days, even months to come.

Trying to describe this game to another person is hard, particularly if you want to get accross how addictive and fun it is! I try with friends, 'you go around catching fish and bugs and making friends, buying stuff and doing favours'. To which the usual reply is why? where does it end? Well.. it doesn't! And that is one of the things that I love!! You can do literally what you want to do, collect what you want without having to be tied to a boring 'mission' whose illusive completion prevents you from progressing in the game!

For those who do like a bit of a challenge there is the paying of the mortgage, but this can be done 'as and when' rather than being a necessity. The game is played in real time so at 11pm in the real world ... Read More:

I bought this prior to a family holiday to France. Not having any previous experience of Brain Training, I decided to go for this version rather than the original after reading other reviews, and what a joy it was. I kept the game hidden until we boarded the ferry. When I got it out, I was expecting cries of 'oh no! Not brain training - why did you get that mum??' BUT instead all were delighted, and the whole family, young and old, played it every single day of our trip, and indeed fighted over who's turn it was. I highly recommend this game if you are planning a long journey, or just want to provide your family with some educational entainment that everyone can enjoy that doesnt involve the telly.

This is a good game, as much fun as Lego Star Wars. In fact, it's the same game in different clothes. But without the satisfaction of the Jedi Slam. My main issue with it (despite the 4 stars) is that it has a habit of crashing silently at the end of levels. Not crashing altogether, but just failing to provide the actions needed to finish the level, so you can keep playing for hours and never find out what you need to do. Very frustrating, and it always happens at the *end* of a level. e.g. today I was playing a level that involved scaring flocks of seagulls. I think the final flock needs to be scared by firing a bazooka at the cliffs, but as I only got one once, got killed, and no soldiers appeared after that, I won't know until I've replayed the level. This is a really good game. I'd heard fab reviews on it so I bought it myself. It arrived quite slowly but I'd not picked express so nevermind.
At first, you watch a little video, explaining what's going on. Then you pick the first part of world one and carry on going. You can't change charactor, you have to be Mario, but then it makes sense. The games are mixed difficulty; some are easy and some are hard. It does get annoying because if you get stuck on a part of a world, you have to complete it before getting onto the next part. There are 8 worlds all together. In each world there is about 10 levels. Each world is set in a different place including, Desert, Space and a more homey setting. I wouldn't get this game if you get easily irritated with not being ... Read More:
