Video Games : Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)
Well first of all this game is totally different from any other game you would have played. The size is enormous, probaly near to the size of San Andreas and the graphics on this are beautiful. The gameplay is short though. The first time I completed this it took me about 5 hours I think but this is the sort of game which will make you want to go through more than once. You don't fight any sort of creatures in this game apart from the Colossi themeselves. There are sixteen in total and you fight them one after another. When you fight one you have to find a way to climb on them and then you have to find there weakness before you can kill them. The main character (Wander) does all this for a loved one (Mono) who has been sacrificed or something ... Read More:

This is the type of game you'd buy for a child of about 6 or 7 who likes Penguins.

Much like the film, you play the cute Penguin Mumble, who can't
sing but can tapdance brilliantly, for a penguin. The levels are basic, Dancing, Sleding down a cliff or
swimming, and most levels you have to collect things.
The graphics are pretty good, if a little bit chunky, but
the gameplay could be more varied. ***

ALL GAMES suffer from repetition - Half life, GTA, Tomb Raider, Fable, Knights of the old republic - all the best games of our time. Beautyfull graphics, gameplay, Increadable AI (very reliable teammates) and a story that stays true to the film. The best movie-based film ever made, a god amongst insects.

This game acomplishes many targets in beauty,depth and overall gaming pleasure. I dont kid myself into thinking that this game wasnt brilliantly made, its a work of art and its release was eagerly awaited. The reason this game doesnt get its place in the hall of fame is simple;
its gameplay - though beautyfully detailed and brilliantly unique- is dull. after a few hours of playing this game you lose the will to live; like so many other could-have-been games.

But dont let this put you off, in small amounts, this is gaming heaven.

I've had never been let down by a Mr Bean product before I played on this game.
It is a 10 star idea, developed into a 1 star game.
The contols are hopeless, and Mr Beans actions are very limited, each level is very long but boring, they repeat the previous level (practically) with maybe an extra guard thrown in for good measure.
Each level you must find an object and it is the same process every time, find key, unlock chest, grab object, 3 times in the same level. A driving level would have been great.
The graphis are basic but effective, but the audio is a let down, you would have thought they would have been able to use sound bites at least from the series, instead of having a silent Bean.
It is fair to say that this ... Read More:

THE ENJOYMENT
if i didn'tlike my ps2 so much i would have thrown it out the window. rollercoaster building is so bad i cant bellieve it. it limits your height and it even lets you go underground then when you say finished it says you can't have it so you have to delete all the track after that part to change one particular thing its just so annoying. you dont even build it on the ground at first you go into this wierd blueprint thingy. i played it for 10 minutes then i got bored.i wouldn't even class it as a game it feels like work. even if your lucky enough to finish a ride you take it for a test run and someone either goes missing, throws up, passes out, gets ... Having not played the other games in the series, I did not know what to expect. Having played it a few times now I am glad that it is a budget title.

The background graphics are pretty reasonable, and it is good fun doing some low level flying over the hills etc, but overall I am not impressed with the game following the very very long wait for release.

Loading time is very slow for each level, and if you crash/die, it reloads the whole level from scratch which takes ages - very frustrating when you want to just get on and play.

The controls are not too great - I guess I was hoping the controls would be more like a flight sim, although getting the extra boost by holding in the throttle in combat is a nice touch. Aiming ... Read More:

When i first saw this game on a shelf, i was in two minds about it. Crappy movie tie in? Or good attempt?
This game is neither, its a brill adventure with guns and kung-fu. The ability to slow down time is obviously a must. Best bits include diving out of cover in slomo with two sub-machine guns, then smashing someone into the furthest wall with a flick of the finger. Highly recommended.

I bought this game in order to practice some songs as i am a singer but it was nothing like what i expected!
I have got all of the singstars and they are brill, and that is what i expected this to be like but when i finally got on it.......i was suprised.
It doesn't say anywhere that you can't sing through a microphone and battle through the auditions/finals yourself and i think it should because you actually have to use the controller to control the notes that the performer is singing!!......It was ok in the end i guess but it should give more information on how the actual game works!

My son absolutely loves Spongebob so this game was a must. He is only 5 and is still able to do most of it on his own, athough i did have to help on a few bits later in the game.

The game contains all the main characters and is bright and colourful with easy controls. You get to visit all the main parts of Bikini Bottom including Spongebobs house, the Krusty Krab, Jellyfish fields, the Chum Bucket, Sandy's Tree Dome, Goo Lagoon and a few more. You even get to dress Spongebob up as mermaid man which my son really enjoyed.

I have since bought the game for my neice and a friends son and they have all enjoyed it.

Plenty to keep the kids happy as well as the adults too. I think i will buy the next spongebob game when we complete this one.
