It is brilliant. I'm not one for platform or role play games, so this is the game just for me. I have played games I didn't think I would understand at all, others baffle me totally (but I will persevere), but I've had great fun playing darts, rummy, dominoes and so many others. If you want something that will appeal to all ages and skill levels, then get this one. Worth every penny, it provides hours of fun. My dad even has a copy!! My only issue is the absolutely tiny Mahjong Soliatire board, so get the magnifier out!!

I used to play the original Space Invaders when it first appeared in the arcades way back in 1978 and, over the years, have played a great many incarnations of this classic - however, none have lived up to the addictive simplicity of the original game.

Space Invaders Extreme does though manage to successfully update the original and it's one of the few updates that actually works extremely well. I'm really impressed by Space Invaders Extreme and would heartily recommend it to players both young and old - even if you hated the original you'll love this!

All the utter joy of a 1980's arcade without the need for endless 10p pieces AND without the gang of bullies that wouldn't get off Pac Man ALL DAY. Joyous.

Video Games : Hasbro Compilation: Monopoly/Boggle/Yahtzee/Battleships (Nintendo DS)
Was relatively disappointed in this as the gameplay could be a lot better.

Monopoly - I found Monopoly quite confusing in terms of buying and selling properties - the instructions aren't clear and I ended up swapping properties I didn't want to swap in error.

Boggle - this was why I bought this game - loved Boggle as a kid. It's quite good but it has a really annoying menu where it's difficult to select the game you want to play!

Yahtzee - this is great - faithful to the original game with a choice of backgrounds

Battleships - probably the best configured game of the 4 - just a pity it's the most boring game!

Overall it's not bad - if you like the 'real-life' versions then you'll ... Read More:

5.Sonic Rush (Nintendo DS) from: Sega

Video Games : Sonic Rush (Nintendo DS)
on the cover of the game i have it says '92% the best sonic game ever'
A COMPLETE LIE!!!
as im sure a lot of you know as soon as sonic entered 3D the friendly blue hedgehog went (sadly) downhill but when i saw this game i thought yes finally a sonic game that looks great and is in 2D. i was wrong :(

ok so the game does have good sides for instance it's just as fast paced as the origanal sonic that we all know and love and you can play as blaze the cat (ok so not really a reason to buy the game but a nice touch). the bosses are good as well but the entire game lacks that spark that all the other games had.

the game doesnt have a lot of gameplay in it either compared to some of the mario games on the market (new ... Read More:

This pretty much says exactly what it says on the package. You get the classic 'bat and ball' game, with only a light refresh and, what I would think is, little effort to freshen up the play into something more modern. It's certainly a ppor performance if you compare it to something like "Space Invaders Extreme", where at least you can say that they've kept the gameplay, but cleaned up the music and the experience.

Okay, so it's off to a poor start, falling short in the expectations of even a retro gamer, then the sting comes.

As mentioned in other reviews, the UK price is higher than just about another other territory. You've got to ask why... DS games are region free and there's not exactly a lot of text to translate from ... Read More:

I didn't even get as far as the constructor elements. The main pinball table would play a half decent game of pinball, if the ball did not keep getting jumped around the board to compensate for the dodgy physics and collision.

When you load up the pre-supplied custom tables, they are all very similar, with a dreadful top down camera, the same cheesy bodged physics, and very few elements per table - making none of them worth playing.

Even the front end menus are poor. They have tried an interesting 3d menu controlled by the touch screen, but it doesn't really work. I am trading this game in as fast as I can.

This game will give monkey ball producers a kick up the backside. This beats any Monkey ball's main game in an instant, the only reason monkey ball is better is cause of the sweet mini-games. The thing I like about this is that it is not normal pac man, but you never forget it is pac man. It rocks. Buy it now. Or else.

9.Bubble Bobble Revolution (Nintendo DS) from: Atari

This gets 2 stars for the 'new' version of Bubble Bobble (not being able to see the whole screen doesn't work well in my opinion, and it just doesn't have the same feel as the original in any case).
The original version is also included, and is pretty much arcade perfect and redeems the cartridge. However, this gets only 4 stars rather than 5, for the simple reason that two cartridges are required to play 2 player which is a bit of a rip-off.

Flipper Critters is a novel twist on the pinball theme. Unfortunately it's a mess when it could have been good.

There's colourful 3D graphics spread over both screens, novel rotating tables with three sets of flippers in the middle, and the ball physics is pretty good. Sadly, the rest of the game is half-baked.

The main problem with the game is that most of the time you don't know what to do. The in-game instructions are vague and you lose most of your balls before you randomly stumble upon the next task. The bright graphics work against the gameplay - it's difficult to tell the difference between scenery and targets. A lot of time is wasted pointlessly flipping the ball about scoring nothing.

Critters doesn't have ... Read More:
