I found that the voice recognition worked well but had problams with it reconising my hand writing.

Maths isn't my stong point so i did loose interest in the training. Prefer the sight trainer.

Other reviews can tell you about all the features in this game, so I'll try to keep it short.

The training programs are more varied and enjoyable than the previous game's. Some of the challenges include unscrambling words, remembering numbers and even playing a musical piece. However, I did find a couple of the games tedious. There are also again plenty of free or assisted Sudoku puzzles and a hidden mini-game which is quite addictive.

One of the big irritations from the previous game remains - poor handwriting recognition. As well as numbers, you will have to write symbols and letters, which the game may often fail to understand! Voice recognition is also a bit unreliable on the Rock, Paper, Scissors game. ... Read More:

Great fun to play but only if you already have some basic musical ability, a good ear for music or can already play guitar. Otherwise give this one a miss in favour of The New Guitar Hero On Tour (for DS) that's due out June 08

I got this game for christmas with my ds. My dad chose it and I think it was a great choice. You get to buy a puppy and train it lots of tricks. When you train your puppy's name it can be hard but you'll get through it. Its fun going on walks but don't let your puppy eat rubbish! I love going in contests. There are three different types. You also get to wash, groom, and play with your puppy. Collecting supplies is fun. In accseseries I even got a lions mane and santas hat! You get to meet your friends dogs and give them presents. I say anyone could like this game so please buy it! Its worth the money.

If you have played and enjoyed the GBA version of FFTA then dont bother reading anymore and buy this game right away, you already know enough, its slightly different,in the way you get weapons and armor, but the main game is the same, with improved graphics, its easy to get into and hard to put down.i dont think the story is quite as good as the Gba version, but that might be just me,control system is quick and easy to learn, and most other things in the game you will pick up very easy,if you have a copy of the gba version, put it in the gba slot before you start the game,to gain an extra advantage skill to use before battles.

My 3 year old cousin loves this game. He asks for his ds all the time and this (and nintendogs) is the only thing he plays. The graphics are good. At the beginning the instructions aren't quite clear and it doesn't say where Tinker bells shop is and it took me and my cousin half an hour to find it. The first person you see is a little LGM. My cousin laughed and laughed and laughed because if you say 'hello' or 'i love you' it says that back. You get to feed stroke interact with your friend and go on missions. I think it is a really good game for 3+ and older!!!!!!!

The positive aspects of this game are the Campaign Missions that you undertake. I genuinely enjoyed this part of the game. See Ms Beattie's review about details of these. I particularly like the Unicorns and Stegosaurus' that you can unlock!

The negative side however, is that the Campaigns do not take long to complete. It took me less than a week. I did try building my own zoo in the `free play mode' after completing the campaigns but to be honest I found that I got bored with this easily and have not played the game since.

However, I would say that it is worth buying the game just for the Campaign aspect - you could always trade the game in at a shop like Game for something else if you think it is a waste of money buying something ... Read More:

well, i was a little apprehensive when i bought this game, i just thought it was gonna be one of those boring tamagotchi type games, but my little brother had the labrador verison and it was great, so i bought this one and boy does it not disappoint! the graphics are superb! you choose your first puppy and play with it or groom it, or go on walks and enter competitions with it! and if you have enough money then you can purchase 7 other dogs! you unlock more interior designs and new breeds in the kennel, once your trainer points go up a lot. ive kinda only just scratched the surface, but im telling you, if you are thinking of getting this game, STOP THINKING! and buy it! cos its incredible!

Zoo Tycoon is a pretty good adaption of the PC game to the DS format. The tracking is kinda slow, you can't zoom out enough for a decent overview, the sound FX are limited and you will get serious eyestrain with the small graphics. BUT, and it is a big BUT, this game is just as addictive as the PC format. You will have hours of fun building your zoo and keeping both animals and guest happy, and you will delight in problem busting when things need tweaking as the game progresses. Overall, this is a great game which is perfect when you can't play the full PC version and you'd like that great, addictive hit that this game brings. That's how I look at it. Well worth a buy for most DS game collections.
