Having played the beta from it's opening in July, I have had an oppertunity to see what the developers have been hard at work doing since Blizzcon last year. To my surprise, the results are extroindary. As they have stated on many an occasion, they have taken the good from Burning Crusade and ran with it. The quests and storyline are fresh and rarely feel tedious, the environments are stunning and the music really helps you feel immersed in the experience.

Alot of people were dissapointed with Burning Crusade and I can happily say that Wrath of the Lich King has looked back, seen the issues that the previous expansion had and moved in the opposite direction. The Death Knight hero class, which at first to me seemed inappropriate ... Read More:

The DRM discussion has been covered very eloquently already. I'd just like to breifly add my voice to the debate by re-emphasizing that DRM, and this DRM system in particular, are uninstallable and use up your CPU cycles. You should get angry about this theft of your pc's processing power. Yes, it is minute, but every DRM installation steals a little bit more. Quite apart from the obnoxious and offensive assumption of your guilt.

I was all ready to purchase this game as it sounds great but I refuse to accept the disgusting spyware that comes as a compulsory part of the installation, so EA have definitely lost at least one sale. Judging by the comments here, they have also lost a lot more, and I am very glad about that.

Lots of people gave lots of review about this when it is not even out, same as demo.

But i am very happy as i have had FM 2007 and 2008, i admit there were bugs but isnt there for lots of other games?

So updates for the game is very useful and it is easily accessible.

So give it a try yourself as people's view are different than your's. I promise you that there will be an challenge, a bright challenege, a darkest challenge, perhap you will be sacked, perhaps you will become a legend.

Buy this game and you wont be sorry.

Yes I've been playing WoW for about 2 years and I play an embarrassing number of hours per day. I've given other MMOs a go (EVE, Age of Conan) but ended up coming back to WoW becuase I just couldn't immerse myself in the characters. At last I can, but at a price - new graphics card (X1650 cheapo) and another GB of RAM (now 3GB in Vista, 2GB was ok tho) - but only because I love to have all the options maxed out. And it's worth it with this game. Why?

It looks fantastic. You can almost smell the marshes. Mozzies buzzing u through the grass and the sun glinting on the water which has splashes and ripples.

The progression is fun to do and with as much humour as WoW. As I play greenskins I love the irreverent atmosphere. You can ... Read More:

From the blurb on EA's site, I wasn't expecting great things from this expansion. It sounded as though you just get a new building type, but there's much more to it than that.
Sure, a large element is the apartments, but even those are better than I anticipated. If you've ever been stuck with a homeless family with low funds, or if your single guy is friendless, apartments provide the perfect solution. If your sim feels lonely, they only have to go and tap on someone's door (at a reasonable hour), and some apartments cost less than 1k a week.
There's also a hint of magic in the air, but I suspect that it takes more than the hour that I played to find that

I, like many others enjoyed the original Colonization a lot. The hours I spent attempting to declare independence are uncountable.

I recently revisited the original, in attempt to see if my gaming ability had improved since the old days. I had to use a DOS emulator and bare the pixels graphics but it was still fun.

Then I heard about this; and pre-ordered without much doubt.

For me, I found that it was a very good replication of the original, and where things where different I felt they where improved. I do agree that later on in the game some time scales for immigration and education seem totally unrealistic based on the limit of 300 turns per game. The kings army also seems to grow fast, often one or more units per turn when ... Read More:

I've played this all the way through. Nowhere have I had any errors/problems. Sure, the Crysis Wars intro doesn't go away unless you delete all its files, but apart from that it's fine!

Stop whining, people!

Both previous posters need to get a life imo, who cares if you ordered the game first, its not an achievement, it means your life is sadly lacking interest. Game will be good i'm sure and addictive as usual, no game quite like WoW, doesnt matter if you love or loathe it.

I had been waiting for the release of this title for ages, and when it was delayed another week i was a bit annoyed. However, i picked up my copy yesterday and boy was it worth the wait. I am a hardcore gamer and to be honest, this game offers alot more than your standard fps. Dont get me wrong cod4 is gr8...but it can get a bit boaring after a while. My fav ww2 shooter is the darkest hour mod for red orchestra because of the realism. This game has went straight to the top of the list.

Graphically the game is gorgeous...you could just sit and look and the scenery and forget you are being shot at. There are also some gr8 suttle effects like mud splattering onto the screen and blood. This was in previous games but its done better in the new game. The gears ... Read More:
