This was the first game me and my sister bought (we went halfers on it) and i have to say we were excited abut it. First, let me say, in my opinion, is good about it... 1) The variety of puzzles: I liked how many different puzzles were in here, especially the maths puzzles (i ot down to 15 seconds for 30 and 45 for 100) and did see a big improvement on my maths. The clock challenge makes you think, but my personal favourite is sudoku. Before, i couldn't get into it, now i love it and i look forward playing to it. 2) The tests: the tests you take beofre you start and during your progress, although you have to enter it manually, and think that it would have been better if test were done in timed intervals. This a great puzzle pack......BUT I do find it very difficult to get it actually to get to the puzzle or game.The opening list of things to press to tell the DS to start up the chosen game seems to be over complicated.I do sometimes find I spend more time getting the thing up and running,hence have lost much playing time,and I certainly cannot pick it up casually play a short game or do a crossword unless I have plenty of time.Once it is in the puzzle mode all is fine......but then I am loathed to switch it off knowing I will have to go through the whole drama to start it up again !!!!!

I bought this prior to a family holiday to France. Not having any previous experience of Brain Training, I decided to go for this version rather than the original after reading other reviews, and what a joy it was. I kept the game hidden until we boarded the ferry. When I got it out, I was expecting cries of 'oh no! Not brain training - why did you get that mum??' BUT instead all were delighted, and the whole family, young and old, played it every single day of our trip, and indeed fighted over who's turn it was. I highly recommend this game if you are planning a long journey, or just want to provide your family with some educational entainment that everyone can enjoy that doesnt involve the telly.

I bought this game today as maths is a weak point and I've really enjoyed the Brain Training games. This game is everything I expected it to be but after 10 minutes I'm suffering with bad motion sickness! The background is orange with little boxes that move horizontally from left to right on both screens and all the exercises have this behind so there is no escape!! There are options to turn the annoying music and sound effects off but all you have to do to stop that is turn the volume down! You'd of thought they would have an option to stop the annoying background moving! It's a shame because I may have to get rid of this game before my subconscious associates sickness with maths!!! Hi, I'm not a bad player at Tetris. I liked the original Gameboy version and I actually wrote a faster version in less than a day for an old Psion organiser (remember those?) and called it Turbotris! I used to play my own version of the game but noone else I knew could play it at the fastest settings. The reason I could play so fast was that in the original gameboy version (and my faster remake) I always knew where to put the next piece before I'd dropped the current piece in. This was because the next piece was clearly shown at a convenient eye level next to the playing area so you could see both at the exact same time. this game is terrible compared to brain train. the games are dull and repetitive, maybe in the lab this is fun but on a handheld they are not. the worst bit is the eye relax at the end where an annoying american voice talks to you and makes you roll your eyes. do not buy this unless you need to get some sleep

This game is suitable for all ages - and by that I do mean adults and children. We all play this game and compete head to head, which is really fun for everyone. There are lots of different mini games (15, I think!) which are split into 5 categories. In practice mode you can pick any game and you then get given a bronze, silver or gold signifying how well you have done. In test mode, you are given a random game from each category and then you are given a grade on how well you have done. Would definitely recommend this for unlimited fun!

I thought I would wait a couple of weeks after purchasing this to give it a fair review, and it must be said - this game rocks! It has a wide enough variety of games to keep you involved, with bonus levels and hidden games to keep your interest levels up. Plus it doesn't moan at you for not playing every day like Dr Kawashima! The games stand up well to be played over and over due to the the fact that they are different every time you play, plus there is a random game option for a bit of variety. Definitely a worthy successor (and maybe superior?) to the Brain Training series.
