Video Games : Mech Assault (Xbox)
Mech Assault was one of the first XBOX Live titles to appear on the shelves that offered a superb if not a little to quick to complete offline game scenerio and then with LIVE capabilities thrown in

I have been an XBOX Live user for like forever in the UK and this game still gets the pulse racing, its quick arcade appeal is superb, the game modes just as good and nothing better than a rumble in a huge whopping Mech.

If you do not own this game - then you should order now now now.

I have 3 kids between 5 and 10 years of age. They love this game! They have had this game for a few years and keep coming back for more every now and then. It does get quite hard the further you go along. I also enjoy playing it when the kids can't get past a certain part of the game. Some brilliant ideas and can be very addictive.

I have the American version and although I doubt there are any differences, they may be subtle. I like this game. That said, this is a quality game. It's not trying to be realistic, and as far as linear game play, there is some exploration to be done. If the game didn't put it into a set path to victory, where are you gonna go? What are you gonna do? Go to the right and then go back to the left?
The weapons are varied, and I found myself liking different weapons with different characters. They have limitations to the weapons they can carry as well. Two of them must have a pistol and one of those is a sniper. The other can be, but not as good. The main character is the tough guy. He's all about rapid fire to me. The lizard is about firepower. ... Read More:

Video Games : Halo 2 Multiplayer Maps (Expansion Pack) (Xbox)
Now this is a peculiar thing. You cannot doubt Halo's status as the premier Live game on the Xbox, but is this add on pack really necessary as a stand alone hard purchase? Live owners can currently download a few of these maps online for free, with the remaining maps becoming free on 28th August, so is it really worth the avid Halo fan shelling out for this online or offline? Not really. Add into this the fact that the new maps aren't available for ranked Matchmaking yet and all you're doing is essentially sticking out a wadge of cash for a bit of a sneaky preview.

So what about the offline players? Well is this really worth it for you? Do you REALLY get together a decent group of people often enough to take advantage of this? Especially considering ... Read More:

First off I should say that I was a die hard fan of the Mechwarrior Games on the PC so I thought I might try out MechAssault on the X-Box.

What followed was honestly one of the most disappointing experiences in my life.

This game has little or nothing to do with the Mechwarrior universe. The most glaring proof of this is that of all the good guys you seem to be the only one who actually had a mech. Even the bad guys, though better armed with the robots that make the namesake of this franchise, send mostly tanks and helicopters at you.

Tanks? Helicopters? In a Mechwarrior game?

This is apparently to add variety but leaves a bitter after taste in the mouth when one realises just how easy they, and every other bad guy are to kill.

Video Games : Sudeki (Xbox)
After reading the Sudeki reviews on Amazon and seeing many 4 to 5 star ratings it persuaded me to obtain a copy. After playing Sudeki I was left thinking just one thought, those Amazon reviews must have been writen Microsoft themselves, no way is Sudeki a 4 to 5 star game. it’s a 2 to 3 star game. Reviews a side here some Sudeki facts:

The graphics in Sudeki look good. The movement of the graphics is not so smooth. The sound in Sudeki is ok. The sound in Sudeki is ill fitting, it does not add any atmosphere. The story is weak. The combat system is ill implemented and frustrating to use, it drove me nuts. The voice acting has to be heard to be belived. The voices used in Sudeki are a joke, its almost comical at times. At least thet made me laugh alittle. Sudeki ... Read More:

Video Games : Links 2004
I made the mistake of dismissing this game when it first was released. But after having it recommended i purchased it for a bargain price (£17) and i have to say i'm very impressed. It is like tiger woods in some ways but i think Links plays alot better. A few times on Tiger Woods i got a whole in one simply because the game was being 'nice' to me. Having played Links for a few days i haven't yet got a hole in one. I do know that if/when i get one it will be earned.

The challenges on Links are much better than Tiger and much fairer.

Also the game plays VERY well on xbox live. It is a welcome change from the adrenaline rush that is Halo2.

Overall i'm glad i bought this game. Recommended!

Having never owned a Flight Simulator before i didnt really know what to expect from this game. But what i got has had me hooked ever since i bought it. The graphics are superb and the game play magnificant. Sure there are annoyences, like when you have just come back from a dogfight, downed 3 fighters and a bomber. Been riddled with bullets your engine is just about to pack in and your guns arent working. You approche the runway, are just about to touch down, when one of your wingmen, whom you have kept alive all through the mission just so you can have his expertise on the next "hop", ploughs straight into the back of you!! But dont get me wrong this only happens occasionly and you can put it down to one of the incoviniances of war. The online play is brillient. Pitting ... Read More:
