I own an Xbox. I love my Xbox. I specifically like the fact that it can handle otherwise PC exclusive game like Half life 2 (5/5), star wars knights of the old republic (5/5) and dreamfall (5/5) right up to 2006. The Xbox has 3 advantages over the PS2; 1) Superior hardware (can play higher-spec games) which most gamers never notice because most games are available on either platform. It also means you have slightly more options with the graphics upsacaling - again this goes unnoticed. 2) The ability to Rip CD's (VERY slowly) and use the soundtracks in SOME games. First off the game itself is excellent and if you enjoyed Empires 3 you'll love the expansion pack, my only gripe and it's a big one is this pack is over a year old and is priced at more than the main game! £24 is outrageous for an expansion pack.

The opening narrative, complete with brilliantly illustrated storyboard sets the scene perfectly for what is easily one of the best games to be released on the Xbox. A compelling plot with more twists and turns than a helter-skelter will keep you glued to your buttocks, given flavour by the well written NPC's. Some will annoy you, this is certain. But when this occurs, you could simply take their head off with an axe if it suits you. The graphics are pretty, the load times are not too long and the controls are easy to master. N3, Ninety Nine Nights... first impressions were awesome. Being hit with the graphics and scale and overall presentation for the first time is a truely awesome experience. I didn't put the game down 'til i'd finished with the first character (out of 6 or 7) Imphyy, and so I proceeded to play as character 2, Aspharr. I quickly lost interest... moved onto chacter 3, interest went further away from me. The problem with the two characters after imphy is that after their combos they stand still and sort of pose for a second, during this time enemys will strike, this gets very frustrating. The game (after Imphyy) does have a few major problems. The boss', as mentioned by other reviewers, are rediculously unbalenced... blocking most of the time and ... Read More:

The game is good, not the greatest game in the world but I always ask myself would you buy it for £40 (the usual in-store price). Yes I think I would, It's good fun, you can customize your character to a high level including clothing, facial looks etc... It's a fun game to play and once you get used to the idea that being a ninja is all about stealth and patience and not storming into battle it becomes alot more fun, I find myself trying to complete assinination missions by only killing the target and not soldiers along the way but I've got to admit it's hard to resist a little jump of a wall to silently kill some poor unsuspecting soldier. Yes this is a multiplayer only game really. Yes you will not have much fun playing the single player game against bots. But for those people who have xbox live i really recommend this game. The beauty of it is the range of different tactics available. There are so many different ways to go about you gaming in shadow run.
