Video Games : Star Fox Adventures
Really not knowing what to expect I am so impressed by this game. The graphics for 2002 are impressive, even by today's Wii standards. The gameplay is fantastic but what strikes me me most overall is how this game has fed into the development of Twilight Princess. I know that Rare became a Nintendo development house before being sold to Microsoft and Miyamoto was the executive producer on this. The Rare engine must have been used further. There are a number of touches that people will recognise in Twilight Princess.
Only downside is that the voice acting is pretty dismal but if you ignore it doesn't spoil the overall enjoyment. There is real competition in my house between my 10 and 12 year old on this.....

This game has almost the exact fun factor i was looking for.
I will keep this short.
Have you ever wanted on a pokemon game to travel to another place by road instead of just flying?
Well, on this, you can't, a bike is used and it's the games only bad flaw.

However on a light side this game offers a 3D effects Pokemon experience and you proboably start with the best pokemon at the beginning... An Eevee

This is good because in the usual games you choose from Fire, Grass or Water.
However here you get an eevee and if all of a sudden you change your mind and want a Fire Pokemon, not a Water one, No Problem! Considering You haven't already evolved it! (Hint : Stop your Eevee evolving until your certain!) ... Read More:

Okay, they took the good bits from Pimin 1, and rebalanced it, added new bits and made it a lot longer.

It takes elements of a real time strategy game, but to label it just as an RTS seems... unfair. It is loads more.

The game is cutesy violent, and well polished. Little things like the evil wasp things rubbish it's hands with mallace while wandering around a map... the new perspective on our own world from a very small perspective.

If I had kids, it would be one of those games I could play with them and keep the controller moving between us. It is real family entertainment - and a socialable game. People whom watch are compelled to warn you of danger, or laugh at some of the rich dynamics in the game. For instance, ... Read More:

Yet another classic adventure game on the DS. A little underated i think. You dont get many true old style adventure games on the DS so this is a gem. Lots of puzzle solving - and some of it not easy! great story. I loved every second of it! highly recommended! put down those shooting and racing games and get a load of this!.

Crystal Chronicles may have its flaws, but it's still a game worthy enough to be played in a wide time-span.

The character selection is actually quite interesting in the way that you are not restricted to one character to fight through the storyline. You can choose to specialise in strength, defence, magic, speed, and you even get a variety of looks to choose from. You gotta admit that's quite cool.

The levels also make a nice change from other FF games, as you have a nice variety of landscapes and enemies to fight through. The graphics on the water (thinking River Belle Path here) is actually quite amazing... but the monsters and especially the bosses are also pleasing to look at graphically. The music is also a nice touch (and VERY ... Read More:

Video Games : Super Smash Bros Melee (Players' Choice GameCube)
I cannot get over how good this game actually is. Me and a group of friends have been playing this since it came out on multiplayer, and we just refuse to get bored of it, even now one of us has an Xbox 360 and Halo 3, Super Smash Bros finds itself in a gaming day routine everytime, without fail.
The single player is solid; classic mode, adventure mode, all star mode and event matches are just some of the choices on offer, and with so many characters to get used to, there's plenty of life in this game for a single player, but with this just on it's own, the game would be quite unremarkable. The game is designed with Multiplayer in mind, and you have everything you could possibly want at your disposal for it.
The frame rate is continually perfect, it allows ... Read More:
