Video Games : Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (GBA)
The graphics in this game are very good - and the animation of the skaters is so good they look positively human in their movements (in fact I'm sure the original graphics must have been drawn around actual footage of real figures - no animator can capture human movement this well).

I want to like this game - I *really* do. But the problem is that I can't. It takes so long to learn how to do all the tricks and moves, and then to try and remember them, unless you've got all the spare time in the world to burn, the techniques just take too long to learn. It isn't something that you can pick up in 5 minutes each day either - you need to spend long sessions training.

I just don't have the time for this, and is it worth the ... Read More:

Video Games : FIFA 06 (GBA)
This game is probably the best of a bad (and limited) bunch of football simulation games available on GBA.

Graphics are generally good and smooth, and the game plays and is responsive to your movements on the thumbpad. You can also choose any team to play as throughout the professional divisions within England and Europe.

You can also save the game which is of course pretty vital when doing a season.

Downside is that it is way too easy - I am no expert at these types of games and yet I was thrashing Man U and Real Madrid on world class level by my third day.

In addition, it would have been nice to have some sort of transfer feature as playing with the same players for season after season does get a bit dull.

I spent ages looking for a suitable easy and educational Gameboy Advance game for my son but was disappointed over and over. However the Koala Brothers GBA game is just right. It consists of mini games like fishing, hide and seek, catching post etc. The controls are simple and I only need to explain the instructions once to my son and then he was able to play by himself. To date he has been unable to master platform games but these mini games are simplistic and fun to play. Admittedly he won't play this game for as long as some others and he game of preference is still Mario Kart but Koala Brothers is a great introduction to Gameboy games and makes an easier transition from the Vtech Vsmile games that my son played before. I would definately recommend this ... Read More:

I was dubious about an adventure game on the gameboy. Don't they belong on PC's where you have keyboards and mice and things? obviously not!. This was the start (for me) of a long love affair with the Broken Sword games - until the one on the xbox that made me motion sick (but thats another story!). It works really well on the small screen and kept me absorbed for hours...yes hours not days as sadly it was over much too soon. But it was worth every second. A great little game, nice story, controls work well but sometimes make things a little too easy (on a PC you might have to click around on EVERYTHING on the screen to find the item you can use whereas on the GBA it was a bit easier as there were less items you could interact with). Obviously i am writing this retrospectively ... Read More:

175.Yu-Gi-Oh! Day Of The Duelist - World Championship Tournament 2005 (GBA) from: Konami

Video Games : Yu-Gi-Oh! Day Of The Duelist - World Championship Tournament 2005 (GBA)
This was the first yu-gi-oh game I bought.
For a gameboy game the graphic are fairly good.
The game play once you read the manual is great and addictive.
Dueling is fairly easy once you get the hang of the controls.
It has all the characters from the TV show and extras.
You can create your own decks with the basic starter packs i.e. Yugi, Seto and Joey plus other booster packs you can buy in the game.
If you enjoy wandering around gaining experience to buy new cards, entering dueling competitions and basically dueling characters then this is the game for you.

Video Games : Trollz: Hair Affair (GBA)
this game is really quite dull,it features about 5 different mini-games throughout the game, which increase in difficulty.there really is no objective and despite the game trying to convey a story, there really isnt one, just long dialogues of the trollz and then a mini games start, really quite painful.if u want a game consisting of mini games then try mario party advance or warioware inc.you really don't want to waste money on this, not even my girl, whos a big fan of trollz, enjoyed this!

177.Beyblade (GBA) from: Atari

Video Games : Beyblade (GBA)
I found out the controls and got into the game quickly. When I first played it I thought of the game, 'Marble Madness' from the NES. The gameplay is similar, as you playing as the BladeBreakers in different rounds, controlling the beyblade around a platform course, which seems like it is floating in the sky. This game is a bit tricky at first, as you have to avoid falling of the platform and starting the round again, also losing the spin of the blade.

The game is set in episodes from the tv series where you battle, or more, move the beyblade around a course collecting new items to add to your collection. It is basically staring at a point then along your way you collect the items and battle enemy beyblades and beat them by either bashing them until they lose their spin, ... Read More:

This game is amazing, you can pick loads of teams. There is a tournament and career mode. They have all the teams in the correct position. Each team has the right kit.The only bad thing about it is that some of the players play for the wrong team and that some players have names like 8#8.
