By most people's standards, the Golden Compass on Wii would be described as a horrible game, but personally I think it's not all that bad. (Granted, i got it for a budget price...) Firstly, the graphics are awful, like a blurry 1st-generation ps2 game, and there is absoloutely no excuse for that. The environments are acceptable at some points in the game, but it is the expressionless and blocky characters which make the game frustrating to look at. The gameplay won't win any awards either, since most of the time, you are just fetching items, jumping on platforms, or playing shallow 2d minigames. I have heard of but not watched the TV series. I bought the game simply because there is precious little to choose from for the Wii console yet. I've really enjoyed the Harry Potter game, my partner spent hours on Resident Evil IV. Both these other games offer 360 degree game play and reasonable freedom to move in a range of directions, and to choose the order in which you tackle or ignore certain game options. Both of us really disliked this game. We found ourselves being forced to search limited areas for obvious clues. Taking these clues back to the labs and using the equipment was no fun either - it's fairly obvious which machines to use, there are limited options here. Personally I found this to be total rubbish, Even after following recipes to the letter I end up with very unsatisfactory results.... runny sauces et al. The speech recognition has to be disabled because when you use it and do anything remotely noisy (like chopping ingredients!!!) it thinks you are speaking and it gets totally confused taking you back through the cooking instructions. This means you have to use the stylus which is hardly ideal when cooking. It was very disappointing given I thought I had found something useful to do with my DS rather than 'training my brain' or zapping aliens.... I would say spend you're money on a good Delia cook book.

I personally think this is a good product made for the ds and ds lite. Although it sometimes freezes the game, action replay can be used straight out of the box without any difficulties. The process of installation is easy and quite quick. It is fully updatable via usb meaning you don't have to buy newer versions when released.

The headset was great for almost a month until the actual plastic part on the headset broke off, meaning the earpiece and microphone were left. So I had to bring in my own way of holding the headset up by strapping a hairband around my face to hold the microphone up. The design overall was flimsy and can be broken very easily. It stopped working tonight.

It's quite simple really :). In terms of technology now it's all about being wireless. So if you are looking to buy a new controller, for the extra dosh it is definitely worth buying this one and not the wired one. No cables, no mess, no fuss. Plus the black looks much cooler than the white.

I know they are only a bit of plastic, but the real sound makes them! My kids love them nearly as much as the adults....!!! I can see the game and Maracas being our game of choice at Christmas, at least we won't break the lounge light like we did with the tennis racket....!!!

Read the reviews before me and thought, well lets give it a go, not the best decision of my life, the controls are shocking, you feel like its liuck as opposed to skill where the dart goes sometimes, if it even goes anywhere!!! Career Mode,well is just terrible i was getting averages of 110-120 and losing to players in first round of tournaments, so heaven knows what averages the better players will get!! Do yourself a favour dont bother, stick to the real thing!!!

This nunchuk is slightly cheaper than the official nintendo nunchuk. It has a rubber grip around the edge of it which makes it easier to hold. I'd recommend saving yourself some money and going for this cheaper but better quality nunchuk!
