I got this game for my daughter last year and we still play it now, There's something quite therapeutic about peeling veg with your stylus, chopping onions etc. There are many things to do and many recipes to unlock. Me and my kids love it.

We owned an original Nintendo DS for two years - we bought it right when it released in December 2004. When I first saw the DS Lite at E3 in 2006, I was thrilled. The game great handheld unit design - but lighter! Brighter! Tuned! It really showed that Nintendo had been paying attention to customer feedback during those two years, and had tweaked its unit to be even better than before.

First, the weight. We always *loved* the design of the DS, with its folding top. As PSP owners, I can't tell you how many time that poor PSP screen gets dinged or scratched. We had to buy extra carrying cases for our PSP and get screen protectors. In comparison, the DS's clamshell design means the screen is perfectly protected when you tote it around in ... Read More:

Very basic and repetitive which makes it boring after 1 or 2 days. May be useful for people who struggle with numbers.

First of all, I've played both "Spore" for PC, and "Spore Creatures" for DS. Spore Creatures wins hands down. Without even taking into account the whole DRM thing, this is much more enjoyable.
It plays similar to any RPG - complete goals, retain health, improve yourself through collecting and improving - but has quite a nice story to go with it, your creature's friend has been kidnapped by an alien and you need to find him. The animations are pretty cute, there are buyable cheats through game points, and it's generally good, clean fun. Anyone from the age of 8 should get on with this just fine, although the fighting isn't explained very well to begin with.
The playtime is also fairly long as well, I've spent more time on this than Spore for PC and I've pretty ... Read More:

Don't buy this game to learn French, because you won't - get Michel Thomas Foundation Course: French (Michel Thomas Series) or one of Michel Thomas' other fantastic courses to do that. However, if you are bored with your other French courses or want some revision, this game will help and it's a lot of fun. There's a game in which you have to fill in the missing letter from each of a series of French words; one to guess the meaning of a word, given a choice of two; another where you are given a definition and have to spell the word using spaghetti letters that sink if you are too slow; and another where you have to spell given words using letters that fall from the top of the screen and use the letters up before the pile of letters gets too high. You get the idea. Even my son likes ... Read More:

Ahhh... Nintendo. Nobody can beat Nintendo when it comes to the handheld gaming market. Nokia had a go with the N-Gage. I've only ever seen one N-Gage. And Sony had a slightly more respectable go with the PSP, which, while fun, broke fairly easily, became scratched and generally fell out of favour among those who wanted a more pick-up-and-play gaming experience.
The DS Lite improves on Nintendo's original release by making the console thinner, lighter and considerably better to look at. It's clear the Japanese gaming gurus took onboard all of the initial criticisms (of which there were not many) and built something that defies all expectations of handheld gaming.

To start with: the graphics. 2d graphics are crystal clear with bright, vibrant colours and a great resolution. ... Read More:
