Video Games : Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team (Nintendo DS)
I've never played a Pokemon game before, but was convinced by a work colleague to give it a bash. He was dismayed when I bought Pokemon "blue" as according to him it wasn't "a *proper* Pokemon game"!

Nonetheless I started it and enjoyed it, but it soon became clear that it was incredibly repetitive and not at all challenging. After a few hours of gameplay I felt I was getting nothing it. I was collecting items but never really having to use them, it was easy and there seemed to be no effort involved in advancing through the game.

The premise is simple enough, you are a Pokemon and you have a companion Pokemon. Together you go on rescue missions, which tends to involve going into caves and dungeons (all of which look ... Read More:

I loved this game, the graphics to me are a bit funky but they're not bad. I love how you get the baby characters and that they give you a different power depending on which baby it is you're carrying. At the moment I'm stuck in world 2, which is a bit embarassing but it is quite hard! I don't think I'd be whizzing through it like I did with New Super Mario Bros... Still a good game to have in your collection though!

I'm a fairly new convert to rhythm games. I bought one of the Dancing Stage games and a mat for my fiancee and was eventually persuaded to try it myself. From there it wasn't a big step to Guitar Hero (on both the Wii and the DS). I saw that Elite Beat Agents seemed to have been getting good reviews in lots of places, and Amazon were selling it for just over a tenner, so I figured I'd give it a try.

The opening stage pretty much set the tone for the rest of the game. The game alternates between gameplay and short humorous cutscenes, so you're not tapping through the entire game. The stories are incredibly silly and don't make much sense (and quite how three male cheerleaders can influence the situation is never explained). But it's fun ... Read More:

Not half as enjoyable as the bright, quirky and cartoonish Dual Strike. Muddy, indistinguishable colours are hard on the eyes. Reams of tedious dialog. Uninspired maps and features. The "commander" upgrade is more realistic than the superpowers of DS, but is so restricted that it adds little to the gameplay and hardly affects the outcome.

A disappointment.

I bought this game based on previous reviews and I can tell you that I was not disappointed. It is much better than Tetris and bejewelled. It starts off nice and easy and increases in difficulty to keep you on your toes. There are several options including daily play and you can personalise the colour scheme both background and blocks.
I let my mother have a try and now have to wrestle it off her. Fun for all the family and will make the time pass very quickly.
Since buying this I have neglected my other games, it is that good.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is essentially a 'lite' RPG that works on the interesting game mechanic of combining the efforts of both adult and baby versions of Mario and Luigi. The game brings together the two versions of the Mario Bros. from two timelines linked by a catastrophic event that has changed the face of the Mushroom Kingdom: the invasion of the Shroobs (basically a poisonous purple version of the Mushroom people).

The game plays out like a cross between a platformer and a top-down RPG. You explore different worlds, some more free-form than others, and solve puzzles to progress. Control is simple but very effective. The directional pad controls movement, as you'd expect, but -brilliantly- each character has been assigned one of the face buttons, ... Read More:

47.Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Nintendo DS) from: Nintendo

Video Games : Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Nintendo DS)
"Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" is the most fun I have had so far on the DS. You play Phoenix Wright, a rookie defence attorney, who has the option to shout "Objection!" far more often than real lawyers ever get to do (sadly, I am one, and so can vouch for this!) Although marketed as a "lawyer" game, it is not very realistic about the legal profession, although some reviewers seem to have unfairly marked it down for not reflecting the legal system with which they are familiar. For example, I read one review noting that the jury is nowhere to be seen. This game began life in Japan, which has not historically featured jury trials, so it's not surprising that you don't see the jury here. Much of "Phoenix Wright"'s gameplay in fact goes on outside the courtroom, involving investigating crimes ... Read More:

First of all i love the WI-FI! It never gets boring !!! :)
I don't know what that other guys title was about "BIG DISSAPOINTMENT"
I'm not that much of a Metrioid fan anyway and i stilled adoured it.... It might be a bit hardcore for some...
But still great!! I love this game to bits! In adventure mode you have to do all sorts of stuff such as
scan, shoot, and on alot of bits escape in your ship, and the bosses are really fun!!!

Highly Highly Reccommended!!!!!!!
