Video Games : Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase
The gameplay is fairly simple and a little like Crash in that you have to bounce on boxes etc to smash them in order to collect burgers which restore your energy and also pies which you throw at the baddies to kill them. There are a number of different areas, for example you are in Japan and then Egypt and in each area there are 3 levels to complete, the 3rd of which requires you to kill one of the baddies before you can move on. The graphics are quite good on this game and the characters are realistic too, but you only get to play as either Scooby or Shaggy. I would say the negatives are that you very rarely get killed by any of the baddies during the levels as you see them so far in advance that they rarely get close enough to kill you, you ... Video Games : Tekken 3 - Platinum (PS)
Despite what Namco developers say, there really hasn't been much improvement made in the Tekken system since Tekken 3. While newer installments have better graphics and more characters, the third perfected the form that two helped define. Notice how I fail to mention the stepping stone of the original? That's because its awful to look at, awful to play, awful to think about and awful to bring up in the bedroom or at a funeral. None of the newest characters are as interesting, popular or fun to play as Hwoarang, Xiaoyu or Jin Kazama were back in the day. Both options for the music are excellent, the endings are great, the game is funny as hell and the story is the best in years. Tekken 3 really excels in contemporising the series. While 1 and 2 ... Video Games : Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles (PS)
I suppose I wanted to love this game right from the start, so I deliberately tried to turn a blind eye to its faults (of which there are many) and focus on the good bits. The good: it's Star Wars on a console and, at the time, there was not a massive choice of decent Star Wars games for those of us without a PC. As a Star Wars game, the sound effects are superb - lightsabers whirl, blasters fire and John Williams' soundtrack plays lusciously throughout. It follows the events of 'The Phantom Menace' with a little creative license and is suitably maddening to keep you either coming back for one more go or looking for a somewhere to bury the game in the garden! And now the bad: I had to look for hints and tips on the web to help me get through some ... Read More:

154.Super Mario Bros - Deluxe (GBC) from: Nintendo

Video Games : Super Mario Bros - Deluxe (GBC)
this is a remake of the 1985 classic super mario bros that was originally on the nes. 8 worlds, 4 levels in each trying to save the princess. But apart from just a remake it also includes a generous helping of extras. it supports the gameboy printer. there are lots of rewards to collect, there is a challenge mode where you must find things in each level or complete it with a certain score. Then the thing that seals the deal for me is the super hard (yet much easier than it's original japenese release) is the real super mario bros 2 or the lost levels (it's not the one with the vegetables). This is one of the few places we westeners can play this hard sequel to a classic so just this is a reason to buy this game

Video Games : Tomb Raider - Platinum (PS)
Rhona Mitra is not as wonderfully airbrushed in her beauty as Angelina Jolie, but she'd still kick her derriere.
That's how I feel about this, Lara's first incarnation.
Compared to the fluidity and polish of Tomb Raider: Anniversary (the remake of this, eleven years on), Tomb Raider looks chunky and dated.
Don't let that fool you, this game and this alone is the reason the PlayStation brand leads the world today.
Once played, never forgotten.
Most of you reading this review will already have played it and are merely curious as to other people's views, so let me try a little experiment.
Think: Lara being chased by wolves. I bet you can hear the music now, can't you?
If by some bizarre quirk of fate you haven't ... Read More:

After the great success of 'Disney Pixar Cars' game last year, comes a sequel for next gen consoles.

What's great about that is it takes (almost) full advantage to the PS3 capabilities letting the player explore Radiator Springs & 2 other locations; Ornament Valley & Tailfin Pass. Now the reason why I said "almost" is the 3 locations are some what short, it'll probably take less than 20mins to explore the whole area (of 1 location). But still, if you seen the film 'Cars', it plays closely to the layouts of the little town, so in other words, you've already familiar with the place.

The graphics are stunning, everything is like the real world (surroundings and environments) yet kept the magical Pixar quality in the cars.

To be fair its a great arcade game, it looks really good and Regina is one hot tamale. It takes a lot of skill if you play for maximum points and the extra game sequences (like the crosshair games) vary the formula, but its no classic, and the jump to Xbox just proves that the Japanese home market could care less about any sequels. Sorry, but there it is.

I know, I know; the graphics are terrible, the controls are terrible, the camera angles are terrible, but I can't help to love this game.

I first played this game many moons ago when it was first released. I enjoyed it so much when I rented it a few times, that I decided to buy it. I lost my copy when I moved from home and recently bought it off a seller on here (still sealed!) and I still enjoy it.

I'm 21 now and not ashamed to admit it.

I especially love playing "Hide And Seek". Or should I say, "Hide 'N' Go Peep" (thanks Lil).

When I was younger my brother bought a gameboy at a carboot sale along with this game, I thought it was really ace, I would spend hours trying to complete the missions. I recently bought a gameboy advance sp and found mario in the loft. I was suprised to see that I still found it a really amusing game and thought it looked even better in colour. The amazing thing bout gameboy games is how long they last. This game is definately worth buying!!
