191.Rogue Galaxy (PS2) from: Sony

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Rogue Galaxy (PS2)
Rogue Galaxy is the latest game from the creators of Dark Cloud, which means it retains many of the good features that the series developed in its two main games. This latest installment is more mature, with a more far-reaching agenda and some characters with a bit of extra depth. The cartoon style graphics are still being used, but they look great. My only regret is that the game clearly steals many of it's new features from Final Fantasy XII!

The story is the usual...how many more times must I type this: a young adventurer called Jaster dreams of being a space pirate and exploring the galaxy. By chance (mistaken identity) he is picked up by a band of pirates, and they go off in a simple search for treasure, only to stumble across ... Read More:

Video Games : DRIV3R (PS2)
When you first play it, it doesn't seem so bad. Then it gets bad. Missions seem hard, gameplay is limited. You really do expect it to be a little like GTA. But, of course, Reflections are enemies with Rockstar when it comes to free roaming, shooting, driving games. Then, the more you play it and practice, the better it gets. There is nothing like being in a high speed pursuit, then pit maneuvering a trafiic car and watch the cops plough into it, causing mass destruction. It's absolutly great.
Then there's the downside. Driver, as a series, has been commonly picked on for many reasons. First is that they say they're trying to be too much like GTA. Then there's the stupid cops, the way Tanner (the main character) walks, the fact that in Driver ... Read More:

I had long been enticed by singstar, and it's the only reason I bought a Ps2. This game is the most fun you can have with your clothes on, I always thought I was good singer or that singing on singstar would be easy, but this game showed me i am not the great singer I imagined myself to be, the game measures your pitch, tone and rhythm against that of the original recording artist, if you are performing well it gives comments such as 'awful' 'bad', 'okay''good' and 'cool'(the best comment you can receive at the end of the note), but fear not struggling singers you can adjust the difficulty levels from easy, medium to hard plus you can sing solo, duet, or pass the mic (ideal for big broups of people). This game is fun and I would definitely recommend it, especially if ... i found Silent Hill 2 to be immensely disappointing, especially after the groundbreaking first game. This one ties up many of the loose ends from the original(fortunately,i played the original for the first time in years the weekend before getting this)The fun puzzles are back,it's genuinely eery, and the monsters are much better than the second game. All in all, this is what Silent Hill 2 should have been.

Luv this game even though i'm a grumpy teen! had this game when i was little but only started to play it now!! It is addictive and has hundreds of levels. I've only just completed it. it is very taxing in some parts (trying to work out what you actually have to do to get to the next level!
You should play this game at least twice (that is if you finally manage to complete it!) coz there are loads of things you may have missed out in the first levels of the game where you need the umbrella to get all the items or somthing like that!

I would recomend this for EVERYONE. The BEST ps2 game I've ever played!

I only wish there were more games like this one! lol! :)

Well, this is a great game, the only reason i made an account on amazon, was so i could buy it again. i would have gone for GT4, but i already have the save files of GT3 on my ps2, i dont want to do them again, i purely want the game for driving the streets of seattle in the GT40 and trying the dodge on laguna seca, absolutely brilliant. i also follow the grand prix and where i cant handle the F1 Games, i can handle long endurance races on GT3 :D

Video Games : Need for Speed Underground (PS2)
I never really was a big fan of the Need For Speed series, I owned the first game, and hated the rest, mainly because of the unrealistc handling and cars that are impossible to own in real life. Then i heard about Underground, the sixth incarnation of Need For Speed.
I must say it is a definate step in a different direction. From the moment that you hit the title screen, the bass-loaded music pumps and the main advasary's car appears behind the menu. Instantly hooked, i just -had- to investigate. Underground has a very slick exterior, shiny buttons, awsome alternative/hip hop soundtrack, and of course, the cars.

After the opening race in the underground mode, I started with the MX-5, and added some parts like spoilers and bumpers. The choice is somewhat restricting ... Read More:

I agree with other reviews more or less. I too am an ardent Spyro fan and been. When the new series by Krome and Sierra came out, I was excited. The first game had it's ups and downs but mostly was good. But this is just a desaster!

Spyro the Eternal Night really takes the weaknesses of the first game and makes them weaker! One thing that really annoyed me was that the lighting was awful. Entering this one dungeon that's kinda dark, not even messing with the brightness and contrast on my TV did much to help. It's so dark you can barely see a yard in front of you, and you can't tell an enemy is coming until it's on you! Turn up the brightness all the way and all you get is darkness PLUS an extra fog lense.

Gameplay, too, get's real old real fast. I really only ... Read More:
