Like the other reviewers , I had low expectations for this game, but its hilarious and totally additive. No other computer game has had me laughing out load. Okay the humour is infantile, but it works well.

The graphics and control system are not on a par with MGS4 etc, but what you get is a good old fashioned fun game that is totally addictive. I've not finished it yet , it seems massive having wrapped all the previous versions for other platforms and adding new content.

The minions are hilarious and endearing , the only gripe I might have is that you can't really get a good view of what they're wearing. They steal clothes from their victims.

So if you want endless fun buy overlord .
P.S.it isn't ... Read More:

I love the PC Civilisation games and their genre. I am more than happy spending days playing one game and slowly and methodically working my way through the ages. So having had a go on the demo I purchased the full version.

If you are a devotee of the previous Civilisation games then do not assume that this is a games console version of the same. It is not. In my opinion the game is "dumbed down", being far shorter, offering far less options and being less involved. Other reviews call the game "Civilisation Light" and I think this tag is an appropriate one.

However, is this a bad thing? Not necessarily - if you want a "quick" game (i.e. a few hours) rather than a epic marathon struggle lasting days then it is still a turn ... Read More:

63.Logitech Driving Force Pro Wheel (PS3) from: Logitech

If you want to get the best out of your driving games then you should seriously consider this wheel. It is very easy to set up, particularly with the PS3, and the build quality is very good. Feedback from the wheel is true to life with every bump, kerb, and barrier felt that will improve your gaming experience that bit more. Works with GT5 Prologue, Dirt and Burnout Paradise and I'm sure will work with the new Codemaster game Racedriver:Grid out this summer. All in all a worthwhile product and makes driving games a lot easier compared to using the plain old controller. Recommended.

Having played the game at a Midway press conference, all I can say is I was very impressed.

The gameplay is fluid, and light years ahead of the Smack down vs. Raw series. This game is going to be the best wrestling game since No Mercy on the N64.

The new options are fantastic especially the Ultimate X match, this is by far the best type of match I have ever played on a wrestling game. Lots of the TNA roster put a lot of effort into building this game, both through motion capture (which is obvious from how good the game looks) to the drawing board stage. These young guys like the champion Joe, and AJ Styles are hardcore gamer so know what gamers want, and their influence is clear and certainly paid off.

I would highly recommend ... Read More:

This is quite simply the best arcade racer since the original Super Mario Kart. It's races are intense and hard fought. You can be at the front and end up coming last or vice versa and all this can happen in the space of one lap. The courses, although there are only around eight of them, are well designed with multiple routes each one tailoured to the specific vehicle class you are driving. The AI is simply brilliant, viscious but fun to play against. The online racing has flaws, it does, but is really good fun to play against other humans.
There in is the problem. No Splitscreen multiplayer which is the hallmark of all the best console racers. If it had that it would be almost a perfect game and would have achieved full marks.

I really cant believe I bought this instead of Battlefield Bad Company.

As a game I s'pose it isnt that bad, but after months of playing solid Assassin's Creed and CoD4, I was expecting something better.

First off, its way too linear. After playing Assassins Creed, you do feel let down when you cant just look at something and think "Im climbing that, then jumping off it". But I wasnt expecting the full sandbox experience, but the fact that whilst playing the game I feel I have no choice as to where I move is disappointing, you cant climb boxes or hug walls(by choice). The game I found this most like is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, but everything that Uncharted does right, this does wrong. I feel I'm having to waste uneeded amounts of bullets to kill people, ... Tools of Destruction is fun. The graphics are great and some places they are stunning. there are a wide range of wacky weapons and locations with a storyline that is bigger and more personel to Ratchet than anything they've attempted before.
the platforming element is done very well and so are the StarFox style space levels where it isn't until your ship is flying through the rings of an asteroid that you truly realise the greatness of this game.
If you have enjoyed previous R&C games then this is a must buy as it brings in all the good elements from previous games and then makes them better on an epic scale.

69.Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (PS3) from: Activision
November 02, 2007
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Video Games : Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (PS3)
Since Tony Hawk's Underground 2, the series has just never been the same. Although I think Proving Ground is a slight improvement on Project 8 and American Wasteland, it is still miles behind the THUG series.

It has to be said that the graphics on this are pretty good, and the gameplay isn't bad at all, but the story and new tricks is what's letting this down. The "Nail a Trick and Grab" in my opinion is pretty hoepless and skating just doesn't seem to be fun anymore.

The map is certainly big enough and maybe a little too big. Challenges you come accross throughout the game are definetely what I would call HARD, and there are very few cutscenes, which I find brings a story together in a game, especially a Tony Hawk's one. You soon find yourself doing the same thing over and ... Read More:
