By most people's standards, the Golden Compass on Wii would be described as a horrible game, but personally I think it's not all that bad. (Granted, i got it for a budget price...) Firstly, the graphics are awful, like a blurry 1st-generation ps2 game, and there is absoloutely no excuse for that. The environments are acceptable at some points in the game, but it is the expressionless and blocky characters which make the game frustrating to look at. The gameplay won't win any awards either, since most of the time, you are just fetching items, jumping on platforms, or playing shallow 2d minigames. Thankfully, the wii's motion sensing controls do make some of the gameplay bareable, and pumelling through hordes of witches ... Read More:

I have both chargers and this one uses power through the Xbox and doesnt seem to charge as good as the MAINS/DUAL quick charge kit,prices are very similar too,just passing on my info so you dont make the same mistakes!

this game is terrible compared to brain train. the games are dull and repetitive, maybe in the lab this is fun but on a handheld they are not. the worst bit is the eye relax at the end where an annoying american voice talks to you and makes you roll your eyes. do not buy this unless you need to get some sleep

I brought the DS for this game and I really enjoyed it. It's not at all as good as Twilight Princess, but it's a very good edition to the Zelda series. I was actually going off Zelda before I got this one. You must buy this!!!

This game is suitable for all ages - and by that I do mean adults and children. We all play this game and compete head to head, which is really fun for everyone. There are lots of different mini games (15, I think!) which are split into 5 categories. In practice mode you can pick any game and you then get given a bronze, silver or gold signifying how well you have done. In test mode, you are given a random game from each category and then you are given a grade on how well you have done. Would definitely recommend this for unlimited fun!

I thought this game was going to be good and i was not disspointed. For starters the graphics are excellent plus the gameplay is good to,if you like quick action packed games you will love this! 9/10

Lots of arguments on this title it seems, but as a journalist who has played the full version of the game, I'll offer some thoughts. The game has plenty of depth and an open feel to it, just as the original and its main rival, GTA do. However, because of the success of games in this genre, the ability to do much more with them is minimal. However, that doesn't spoil what is a really strong, enjoyable and lasting gaming experience. The full customisation of a variety of objects and the interaction with the gaming world is a welcome feature, while the 18-certificate is deserved thanks to the adult nature of quite a bit of the storyline - but chances are that if you were buying this game you'd know that anyway.
