I have been using a PDA of some kind for at least 12 years but it is now a dying product. The bottom line is that the IPAQ 214 offers no significant computing advantages over my 3 year old O2 XDA II Smartphone. I have also found that because PDAs are getting less support from the manufacturers I have had problems in getting accessories such as extra stylus pens. Having said this, after a few months use it has worked fine with no need to reset as yet. My only negative comment is that it feels quite delicate in construction and that it would break if dropped (as opposed to my O2 XDA that is built like a tank).

The bottom line is that I can't really recommend PDAs any longer because some of the Smartphone are as good as PDAs, if not ... Read More:

This was my 1st(of 2)BELKIN usb adapters i purchased for my 2 pc`s,Both running XP.

whilst the software DID install fine,i was initally shocked at the SHODDY manufacture of the device,it`s NOT a SNUG fit in ANY usb port,as you`d expect from a usb device, but reminded me of the Old(and i mean OLD!)Days of the ZX81 and it`s RAM pack add-on,which would wobble like mad!

Anywho,was INITALLY impressed,it found the signal,was getting 54mbps/Very good strength.great........

HOWEVER!,next time(and in fact nearly EVERYTIME since then?)when i boot Pc up from scratch?the unit appears DEAD! the green LED?LIFELESS,yet the software appears to be,at least telling it to scan!

i have had to.unplug+reconnect unit and/or get ... Read More:

I have now had this device for a couple of weeks. I have previously owned several Pocket PCs, including a few earlier versions of the iPaq. Of the ones I have tried, this is almost certainly the best. Having WiFi, Bluetooth, SDHC support (previous versions didn't support the new higher capacity cards that this one does - I have an 8Gb SD card in mine), a standard USB connection (previous iPaqs I owned use a proprietary USB connector) a relatively fast processor, the latest version of Windows Mobile (including useful new features such as SD card data encryption) all whilst retaining a relatively small form factor is a strong combination. Whilst many will opt for a Pocket PC phone (as my last Windows Mobile device was), having a seperate PDA from your phone has ... Read More:

I repair PCs for a living and recently got a call from a client who was trying to run two routers on one phone line, which is impossible to do unless one router is shut down at a time. The solution was to install the Intelliplug. Its clever electronics shut down the router in the office when the pc was switched off at the end of the working day, leaving the family free to switch on their wireless router at night and surf happily on their laptop.
Without the Intelliplug they previously had to rely on the office staff switching the router off manually, if they didnt it entailed a long walk to the office to switch it off before the other router could be switched on. Now its all automatic thanks to IntelliPlug ...AND it saves power at night as the pc, screen ... Read More:

I love this product. Everybody has been asking me where I got it. There is a few minor issues with connectivity problems such as switching back and forth from GPRS to WI-FI and the battery life isn't very good at all. You can buy an extended battery which I am hoping to do. Overall it is a great product. For any business person I would recommend this..
