This printer looks good and is solidly built, it certainly prints fast but the time for first page out is quite long. Like most epsons (in my experience) it is very noisy when it starts printing but not excessive during printing. What has shocked me about this printer is the dreadful short life of the cartridges. I printed 5 pages of a colour presentation and then it stopped because the yellow cartridge was empty. I replaced it, printed two more pages and then blow me the magenta was empty. I noticed the blue and black cartridges were also down to half (using the status monitor). I've since heard of people getting only 70 pages of text out of a black cartridge. The hardware works perfectly straight out of the box, just hook up the cabling and off you go without any configuration at all. With such a simple product it is astonishing that Netgear failed producing any documentation at all supplied with the product or on their support site about what the colour of the LED indicators mean. It took me more than 10 minutes of googling to find out and then found it in a review on amazon.com... Green: 1000 Mbit Yellow: 10/100 Mbit With that piece of info in the documentation or on the support site I would have given 5 stars.

I bought this USB hub on 4 August, and on Friday 12 September, its power supply plug blew out sparks and smoke, and seemed to send a surge through all the USB connections because all USB items that were connected to the hub were blown. I have had to replace the Motherboard on the main system, the keyboard and the external USB 300 Gb hard drive.

I have had a couple of Belkin units, including this one, fail to protect my equipment. Once a PC just died one day, and I found burn marks on the motherboard PSU connector. The other time with this exact unit there was a lightning strike nearby, and the computer PSU was fried along with my monitor and HiFi amplifier. Both times I tried to claim from Belkin on their warranty. They make it very hard, and you have to send them the damaged equipment. In both cases they at first refused to pay up, but eventually I got some compensation out of them. Nothing like the value of the items though, only their "second hand" value which for Belkin means car boot sale prices. I now have a Tripp-Lite and touch wood have no had any problems.

I have this cable connecting my PVR-PC to my HDTV. Watched Blu-ray films and Freeview through it with no problems.

So this little device is most useful, a normal ethernet cable has 8 wires within it but only 4 are used commonly for ethernet traffic. This device lets you connect to 2 ethernet devices on the end of 1 cable (you do need to buy 2 of these units tho for it to work and you will also need 2 ethernet female to female coupling blocks (Belkin Cat 5 RJ45 Inline Coupler (White) R6G050) as the economiser weirdly has a male RJ-45 plug!) Apart from that strange quirk, great little item!
