Following my recent purchase of my Freecom Mobile Hard Drive, I thought I would buy another, so I opted for this little gem and I was not disapointed. Nice, small and is covered in a black rubber sleeve. The short USB lead connects direct to the hard drives USB interface and the product detects and installs as soon as it is connected. Very portable and light and easily slips into the laptop bag. Recommended!!!

Bought this DVD-RW to replace a new HP1040i which was quite frankly slow and noisy and vibrated like an overloaded washing machine. Found out it was made by LiteOn, so out it came. In went the new Pioneer, and hey, bliss!. Quiet, quick and vibration free. No problems writing to media, slide drawer seems to built robustly, and to date, no issues. Installed latest firmware from Pioneer which enabled more media burn capabilities. This model was cheaper than the HP (LiteOn) 1040i which was meant to be all singing and all dancing. Downside?. Wish I got the more expensive model from Pioneer!.

Recived this item 2 days after i had ordered it. recived a Hitachi Deskstar, and works brilantly, sent my disc access on vista rating to 5.9. (highest you can get at the moment) and i got it almost a tenner cheaper then buying it and knowing what it is. thanks amazon for the quick delivery. and a great buy

A great disk, both my kids loved it, I bought this to try and get my little boy to advance with his reading and he loves it. Takes a while to figure out how to get into the different rooms, but both my 4 year old and 6 yr old can work the computer by themselves using this software, it really is easy. A great interactive program.

Hi there all just a quick comment on this item. I had a read on some reviews on the internet, and well thought this would be best for me. Cheap and easy as well. At first i was skeptical as i never used this sort of thing. I had a disc which had a big scratch on it, a perfect circle in the middle. This was a xbox 360 game disc and was unplayable. After 5 times through this small machine it was working perfectly. It left some strange marks on it that are only visible in the light and the scratch that was on there is still fairly visible. But the game is working GREAT! Would recommend!

The Freecom 500GB external hard drive has certainly been a great help in backing up all our small business files and (loads of) personal data. The drive itself is about 15cm long and an inch thick, so it's very portable. It's quite rugged and will certainly withstand a few accidental drops. The unit simply plugs into your computer via USB. It has no fan so is not noisy and it does not get overly hot when plugged in for extended periods. Transferring files is easy enough. It works the same as a Flash Drive. Just plug it in and open the E: or F: drive and either copy and paste or drag and drop the files. After I used a Nexons HDD enclosure to clone my original drive onto it, I installed it in the laptop, and it now works perfectly as the main laptop HDD (after I adjusted the partition on it from the cloned size of the old HDD to the full 250GB of this drive). There was no original box or manual, but the seller dispatched the HDD with plenty of protection. Very happy with it overall - it was good value and works beautifully.
