These are not actually the 2.4x DVDs. If you order BC UK will send you 8x DVDs. Which is fine if they work in your DVD drive and a pain in the neck if they don't. Now I'm trying to wrangle a replacement from the company.

Good PS3 upgrade but you must know a couple of things that are not explained on playstations website. (please us the following a guide only) First back up your data in the back up facility use a FAT or FAT 32 such as USB stick or even ipod. You will need at least the exact same space as a minimum i.e. 15gb on your PS3 you need 15gb or higher device. The device will need a file path [PS3] - [EXPORT] - [BACKUP] save the data in backup folder. Have burned over 300 of these now and they are the only brand that give a consistent performance as audio cdr's when played on audio equipment. I've tried other more expensive brands but these have been very hit and miss for audio playback. Never had a failed burn and I thoroughly recommend them.

I bought this based on Macworld review and the star rating and positive reviews I'd read on line on Amazon (although only the first few). Within 2 hours of use it just switched its off. Thought it might have been something I had done so mounted again & after that every time my Mac went into sleep mode it just switched itself off and disappeared from my desktop. And also when using Time Machine. Tried the online advice (frighteningly there was an awful lot of it with similar problems), which was to download the new driver from WD (Difficult enough as even WD don't refer you by the correct name for it). Just recently bought the Panasonic EZ47 DVD/VHS Combi recorder from Amazon and am archiving most of my VHS tapes to RAM Discs (supplied by K K Electronics - excellent fast service). Having viewed the discs after copying, the images are superb and the recorder/disc combination does definitely upgrade the image when viewed on a compatible 100Hz tv. The copying initiation with this recorder is simplicity itself and I shall definitely stick to these discs (no formatting etc) for all forms of recording/archiving in the future.

For instance, if you were upgrading from a desktop to a laptop (or vice versa), you just put the old hard-disk on the end of this device to pick up all your data. Doesn't matter if it had old-style connection (IDE) or new-style (SATA), or whether it was a normal desk-top size or the smaller laptop size. Brilliant!

I have quite a few drives and I needed another for use at work, spotted this little Gem whilst trawling through the usual web sites - fujitsu are a German based manufacturer so as with their cars I expected the quality to be excellent- I was not disappointed!! The Case is really solid and not as flimsy as some of the other brands in this market. Set up was plug and play as stated on Amazon website and it has 2 unique features you would normally find on drives twice the price - 1) it has an on/off switch on the front of the drive 2)If you are using it as a backup device this ships with Nero backup software AND a one touch back up button - All this and at the time of writing this review Amazon have the best price 1TB drive I could find on a top ... If you want a cheap, reliable set of DVD-Rs, and don't mind the fact that they don't have individual cases, then look no further. With this set you get 25 disks for, at the moment, 5 quid. Unlike disks from other manufacturers, these do not become corrupted halfway through the burning process, or fail on 97%. They are compatible with any burner, and play without problems. Each disk is almost 5Gb, meaning about 6 hours of film, or thousands of your best pictures can be stored. The recording process is quick, and the final product is exactly as you want it to be. The cakebox is easy to store, although i prefer individual cases which do take up more space in your house. Of course, you can buy sets with cases, but for those of you who don't mind, this is perfect

I purchased this drive approximately 6 months ago as I needed a rugged and shock proof drive to store a large amount of data. On arrival the drive was much smaller than expected and the integrated USB connector is exceptional. The use of a magnet to hold the connector in place when not in use is an example of the attention to detail and thought behind this product - it wont break like a clip would, neither will the drive. I have kept this drive in my pocket and gone about my daily business numerous times and have not really noticed it's there the size is so small. Everything about this drive is impressive.
