Hi there, I decided to buy this buffalo ministation from amazon when it was £79.99. It was a really good deal as free delivery applied on this product as well. In fact, I bought it in July 2008 leaving a couple of months of testing and quality assuring during the time I was back home in Thailand to make sure my review is fair and useful. This hard disk drive is not much bigger than a mobile phone - 12.6cm x 7.9cm x 1.5cm - and holds a whopping 250Gb. This makes is the perfect back-up drive that you can take with you. I carry mine in my laptop bag, so that should my laptop hard disk fail I have all my data with me and can still work. Assuming I can borrow a PC or laptop that is. At home it can sit in a drawer and, if you want to pop round a friends house and share some tunes, it will sit in your pocket without causing an embarrassing bulge. I have been using Western Digital for years and have never had any technical problems - I simply upgrade for capacity. The one negative is the bundled sync software. I have quite a few drives and I needed another for use at work, spotted this little Gem whilst trawling through the usual web sites - fujitsu are a German based manufacturer so as with their cars I expected the quality to be excellent- I was not disappointed!! The Case is really solid and not as flimsy as some of the other brands in this market. Set up was plug and play as stated on Amazon website and it has 2 unique features you would normally find on drives twice the price - 1) it has an on/off switch on the front of the drive 2)If you are using it as a backup device this ships with Nero backup software AND a one touch back up button - All this and at the time of writing this review Amazon have the best price 1TB drive I could find ... Just got mine today. It's excellent. Plug and play, with a whopping 320gigs for something that's thinner and lighter than my textbooks. Much as i love my laptop, i find it can be a pain in the ear to lug around from from home, to work, to college, then back home... especially when there's computer access at all 3 locations. Transfer is super fast as well - unlike my USB sticks which can sometimes struggle a bit. Very quiet, and fits into my tough old PDA case (now that PDAs are kinda obsolete with all the iPhones lol). Superb.

If your looking for a dvd recorder, make sure you get one that accepts these disc's, they are by far more superior to dvd+/-rw's and last longer and use all the room on the disc just like your hard drive on your pc, also I have found that the picture quality on ep is better than on other disc's too. You also have the convenience of recording a programme and watching it from the start at the same time, just like you would if it had a hard drive in it. I would'nt buy any other kind of disc now.
