I bought this maching thinking i could get access to print cartridges very easily but i have found it very difficult and expencive to purchase the ink cartridges. had i to do it again i would not have purchased again because i go through cartridges at least once a month.i would have stayed with my old fax machine with the ink film. This product is terrible ............... where to start ????? 1. IT EATS INK and Epson charge a fortune for replacements - if you've made the mistake of buying this product, don't let Epson make any more money out of you and buy the non-branded cartridge replacements as there's no quality difference 2. WANT TO PRINT ONLY IN BLACK, think again my friend. That's not exactly true, there is a function that allows you to turn the printer to `Black Ink Only', but unfortunately you can't only put black ink cartridges in the printer (you always need a `full set') and when you replace the black ink cartridge the `charging' process uses up the coloured ink too. The result is that you'll still have to replace the coloured cartridges ... Read More:

The photo quality prints are indeed stunning. (If the printer software is set to produce photo quality.) I have an issue with some of the advertising material for this product: it does not make it clear that the term 'photo paper tray' does not refer to the type of paper usually used for printing near professional results, but to the size. After reading the literature, but before buying, I was of the impression that there were two full size paper trays - one for plain paper and another for photo type paper: that is not the case - the photo paper tray holds, typically, up to 20 sheets of 4 inch by 6 inch 'photo' quality paper. I have had mine for over a year and I use it for work invoices to colour photo's. It is a great little machine, Over 6000 sheets so far and no trouble. I think it runs on thin air as the ink lasts a long long time. I had a problem with the fax cutting out at the start but soon realized it was my fault and I had not used the supplied leads, and on one occasion the phone line was at fault. The hp-software is idiot proof as I Have mastered it.!!! Home office perfection in a tiny unit. so if you want an all in one that will fit in that small place you have next to the pc tower then this is the printer,fax,copy scanner for you.
