I purchased this item a week ago and I'm delighted. Firstly - having ordered it at 2.30pm on the Thursday I was astonished to receive delivery of it at 9.00am the following day. I had to go out and buy a 2.0 USB lead before I could install it (mildly irritating) but installation was very easy and stress-free (with Windows XP). Printing, Photocopying and Scanning are all very straightforward and I'm very impressed with my purchase so far. I would certainly recommend buying one of these.

I bought the HP C4480 copier / scanner / printer because I wanted to upgrade from my entry-level Lexmark printer due to the fact that I have started my own business. I considered the equivalent models from Lexmark and Epson, but in the end chose the HP because it was not only technically as good as the competition, but also seemed better designed, neater looking and more compact. Having installed the HP and used it for a couple of days, I am absolutely delighted with it. Installation was easy - even for a technophobe like me. I have had many printers before but this has to be the worst. I thought Epson was a quality make but everthing about this printer is poor quality. It uses the most unbelievable amount of ink and locks when one cartridge is low. It is a fiddle to change the ink and last night it just kept saying the cyan was out even when I changed it. I bought a new one today as I had bought lots of ink and it will not work as it says that there is no ink in two of the colours, and yes, I did put in new carts. Please don't buy this!

item was fine, if your french, the web page did not make it clear that the item was in french and i would have to figure out how to use it, i am not french nor do i speak much of the language so was a little disapointed, it clearly says on the web page that it will only be delivered in the uk so why send a french machine.

I replaced my cartridges and now the printer will only print in black and white, no matter what i do. I have taken the cartridges out, back in again replaced them with a fresh set and it still doesnt print in colour. AVOID THIS PRINTER

This very small and compact unit works well. It was easy to physically set up. The software loaded perfectly and the (fairly) easy-to-follow installation program did the business nicely. I checked their website first to ensure that my multi-function printer/scanner would work and it was fine! I can now scan and print easily and effectively from three different computers and laptops in my household. Unlike some previous reviewers, I have not found any issues with slow response for printing or scanning. The bi-directional print communications between the printer and the computer does take a few seconds to engage, so the print job might well start before the PC can detect how much ink is left etc. This is not a problem!
