I bought the Eee as a second computer, since my regular laptop is just too heavy to be portable. In contrast, the Eee fits in a large handbag and weighs less than a kilo. Having configured an advanced desktop as opposed to the more personal-organiser-style interface that is the default, I find that the battery life isn't particularly great - but it's pretty rare to be far from a power source for very long, and the Eee has so many features that make up for this. The screen seems very small at first if you're used to a normal laptop/desktop, but once you're used to it it's perfectly fine even for web browsing and so on. This is now the fourth one of these I have had and all 4 have sooner or later simply frozen on me. You can't even switch the damn thing off but it lapses into screen saver mode so the battery aint ever gonna run down it will just remain "shutting down" indefinately. Never buy this- also the FM radio isn't all it's cracked up to be and I found it incredibly difficult to tune any station I wanted. To end on a positive note though the sound quality was very good- but shop elsewhere.

I bought this just as another MP3 player with a huge size and lo what i found was - its marvelous You can store most of your documents and pictures as well as your entire favourite music gallery and yet - there is always space in it... It has never disappointed with its battery life so far - and is a wonderful and strong player compared to others.... However, people may find it difficult to carry - due to its bulk - for me this has never been a problem. I have a small wallet - large enough to zip my beloved archos in it and carry with me when i am jogging or on the move... Its a wonderful library of movies, songs and ebooks for me - though i have never used it to read any of the ebooks!

I have put off buying an Ipod/MP3 for years because I always thought that I wouldn't be able to transfer songs from computer to Music device. I'm not the brightest star in the cyber space ship. I finally bit the bullet and bought this amazing piece of kit. It took me 2 'gos' to transfer my music. The instructions are OK for WMP but my WMP makes it easier if you watch your own screen and obey its instructions instead of the Adobe download. Anyway I think the sound is just amazing for such a tiny and reasonable device. I've ordered Sennheiser earpods but am not sure they can be much better than these. Very well recommended. I would have given it 5 astars if the instructions had been a bit better.

Just got this for Christmas (although I practically dragged my mum to the shop and pointed it out!!!). It's brilliant! It's got a great battery life and the menu is easy to use. I reckon that it's neater than an i-pod nano - since it's ergonomically better...it fits into your palm better. You can also listen to the radio ...and you can record voices or even straight off the radio (although I can't say that I've tried that bit!) Another really useful feature is that you can set the sleep timer to tune off the music after 15 mins, 30 mins, etc - I reckon I'll use this feature when I'm on hols and trying to get to sleep. Looking forward to heading on hols with this black beauty!!!

I actually think the ipod touch is a fabulous piece of technology, but, I've judged on the weakest link, vista compliance. All other generations of ipod are compliant so why not the touch? I've tried every possible option but end up with the message that it's a camera and no drivers are available.

If you are into Archos this is a great little product. By forgoing the hard disk, this becomes the cheapest archos that does what I want, as the noise and vibration from spinning disks are removed. The Wifi network conection allows me to use my Windows home server as storage device and stream files accross my network. Files can be copied back and forth to your network storage with ease. This device will plug into a generation 4 docking station (its the remote control thats incompatible). The programme guide that you get by registering is useful, but it doesnt replace other tv guides, mainly because lots of channels are shown with no programme information, which is a problem if you want to look outside the top channels.
