I have good news for all those hifi heads who like their music loud. Samsung has actually put a sound limiter option on these so that you can listen to your tracks above the "safe" level, and to me the safe level is way too low on most mp3 players out there. At last I can listen to my favourite tracks now without being frustrated by the lack volume. The size is great and the dislay clear. The touch screen controls are very sensitive and easy to use. Sound reproduction is sharp and clear, and video crystal smooth. The FM radio is great but Samsung could have improve upon the recorder which captures music at a low bit rate and is not that clear when played back. Overall an excellent MP3 player which is highly recommended.

I admit to being a total gadget freak, and I bought this little gem because I spend 3 hours a day on a train. Even with my gadget dedication, I sometimes find the gadgets I buy a little too complicated, and often end up not using them as they should be used. Imagine then, my delight, when I discovered how easy the Archos is to use. I set it up to record programmes I don't have time for in the evenings and watch them on the way to work in the mornings. I've converted DVDs and loaded them onto the Archos, and I took the entire season of Huff with me on holiday - in case of bad weather. One word describes this product - awesome! I got mine back in December and it is just incredible. OK so 16GB is ridiculously small for most people's music appetites but I have learnt to cope with the capacity by unchecking a load of music in iTunes. A couple of criticisms come to mind, sync times are very slow in comparison to HDD based iPods (I would say roughly 3/4 transfer speed) that can be annoying when you have to reload all your content again. In addition to this you cannot group compilation artists that result in lots of obscure names whilst scrolling through music (if your a dance music fan). For the price, this is a great, simple, easy to use MP3 player. For what I use it for, listening to podcasts, the battery life is great, the sound quality is perfectly adequate, and it's very simple to use. Anyone using it for music may find it a little annoying that there's no track listing, but just go for the 2GB version which does have a little display showing track. The only small niggles are that the headphones it comes with are not very stylish (but are perfectly good for doing the job!), and that you have to download the Creative Media Lite software yourself (no install disk with the product) - but as this is just a wrapper for Windows Explorer, I never use it anyway and drag & dropping files straight to the Zen Stone works just ... Great player. I've had mine a year now. The user interface is very easy to use and quick to navigate. I'm not bothered with photos or video so those features are irrelevant to me. Get the latest firmware. This gives a number of advantages, including normal and high volume modes. With the latter and earbuds you can use this on half volume while running a petrol lawnmower and not even hear the mower. The player supports playlists using WMP 10 or 11 (go to anythingbutipod.com for tips on any issues you have). The only negative is that you can't build on the fly play lists. There is just a single "To Go" list. My son has a Creative Zen which is an equally good player, and does have confgurable playlists from the player itself. The Navigo 855 GPS is really an amazing instrument with many additional features besides the standard GPS Navigation. I compared the routes with Google Maps and the routes are the same and distance-time parameters match too. Compared to the TomTom One & RAC200, the speeds and the accuracy match. I would recommend this product to everybody who doesn't want to waste money on brand names like TomTom etc. Speed camera locations are missing, but than you can download it from the internet as points of interest. The other features like MP3 player & Video player are an absolute gem considering you can pick this model up for less than £70.00 inc. nowadays. In short an absolute bargain and certainly gives the more expensive brands a run for their money

I bought this cd player recently and I'm very pleased with it. The sound quality is good and it's easy to use. The only annoying thing I've come across so far is the bleeping every time you press a button, but there are instructions in the manual so you can disable that function. There have been a few criticisms in these reviews of the volume on this model, that it's restrictive and can't be turned loud enough. I've tried playing many different styles of music on my player (including classical), not particularly quietly, without even reaching the halfway mark on the volume control. I don't think it's any different to any of the other models I've owned in that respect, and I certainly don't find that it's a problem or spoils my enjoyment of the music. How things change. I bought this for my wife to use whilst jogging but I she can get her own now. After all these years of thinking I did not need an mp3 player now I have got mine (hers)and I am hooked. Great little thing, as everyone else has said very easy to use and it sounds better than my old tape Walkman which cost £200 in its day and was the dogs danglies. And this can fit more than 10 tracks on it, apparently :D Another 5 star rating. ipods must be really good for people to keep buying them over this and getting all the headlines. Go figure.
