I have got one few days ago, and what an awsome machine you cant buy a better sounding MP3, this is got to be it. It is very easy to use, it is very easy to upload, do not use the sony's own programme,I think it is rather basic. use the window's own media player, it is good, and does the job nicely, just plug in and sync. The sound is astonishing if you use good head phones that I use, it is waste of money to buy such an expesive device, and listen to your favourite tracks with an inferior head or earphone. I love it, and I very much hope that those who may invest in this little device will do so as well.

I recently got this product for my birthday after debating for a long time on whether or not I really needed an MP3 player at all. After owning this for about a month or so I now realise how much I appreciate it. Having never owned an MP3 player before I took a long time in trying to choose the right one for me; It needed to have lots of space as I have a LARGE cd collection and plenty of battery life. Also the price needed to be right. After careful consideration I settled on this and I am very happy with it. By far the best player I've used but it's not perfect! Unlimited storage! Ok so NOT unlimited but if you run out of space just pop a microSD card in the slot. Since 4Gb cards are about 7 quid? That means ALOT of storage. Easy to use user interface, even my girlfriend can use it ;) Good video playback but not perfect. A decent size screen for watching re-runs of south park on the way to uni :) But it breaks up the vids into 15 min chunks, the player automatically connects them all together but there is a noticeable pause between chunks. I recently purchased this product and found it good value for money. It's so easy to use, simply switch it on and connect to your PC via the USB cable and away you go, it is so easy to transfer music from your PC.the sound quality is okay as well.

If you have a 1GB Apple shuffle you will know how great these are, I have just upgraded to a 2GB simply because I had filled my 1GB and was having to delete songs to fit new ones on. Once you are set up with itunes importing your fav tracks from your cds is extremely easy as is deleting songs you get fed up with. I haven't actually downloaded from the itunes site as I have so many cds anyway . I use mine with sony headphones and with any cheap ones I have and the sound quality is excellent in either case. I did treat myself to a seperate sony ipod charger so i am not tied to charging on the computer. If I was buying a shuffle for the first time I would choose a 2GB if I could afford it as like me you would probably end up upgrading sooner or later.

I was so looking forward to getting a new Sony Walkman, my old Connect player had served me well. I no problem with the older model loading, programming etc. I have tried for two days to get this one to work, I followed all the instructions to a letter, which is not easy as you have to remember to charge it fully first, which it doesn't actually tell you to do. It just tells you how to charge it. Eventually after naming my model "Maud" and managing to load a couple of albums onto it, I unplugged it from the computer and listened. Yes the sound quality is fantastic. Great I thought let's load some more stuff. Computer now does not recognise ''Maud''. So unless you want a lot of frustration from my point of view leave it well alone.

went for this because its sony, got an ipod nano too but has nothing on it compared to this in terms of sound quality & bass, good quality product from sony once again (jus lacks an fm tuner)

I originally purchased this item from Amazon in mid Februarry 2008. 2Gb seemed a fair amount of storage for what I wanted (mostly talking books)and the price was very reasonable The first one I received from Amazon was faulty - its internal battery (which is charged via a computer USB port) wouldn't hold a charge. I contacted Amazon and they were good enough to send me a replacement even before receiving the original back. This second one has gone the same way. All in all it's not proven to be a very robust or well designed player. A pity because I usually like Sandisk drives (I have several of their 4Gb flash drives and they're very good performers and also very reliable.
