One of these came 'free' with an Integral 8GB card I got recently. It works O.K. with small files, (under about 100MB), but has increasingly greater trouble as the size of the file being r goes up. Lots of "wrong parameter" error messages are thrown up. I note that Integral now seem to offer a different reader in their combo offers.

I ordered 2 of these cards becuaes Fuji are discontinuing their original XD cards and replacing them with new H or M versions. Of course, these don't work on camereas that are 2 or more years old as well, or at all - my S5000 will take stills but not video with the new cards. What was actually delivered were 2 H XD cards, the very thing I was trying to avoid. Amazon - please replace the picture and technical information with the correct details!

a 2Gb card at a great price...... why not just get two of them.... saves you running out of memory card space.

I use this card for my Sony Alpha A350, and I've never encountered speed issues because of it. No regrets. One warning I would offer is to buyers who see this card (or others like it) on Amazon Marketplace at a price that's too good to be true. Chances are, it is. I originally purchased this from an unknown seller, and found the speed to be lacking. Although the packaging and the card were rather convincing, I suspected it was a fake, so I checked with Sandisk. Sure enough, it was. I soon returned it and bought the genuine article from Amazon. If your Extreme IV seems slow, if it doesn't come shrink-wrapped, if it seems at all suspicious - call Sandisk. They can verify its genuineness by checking photos ... Read More:

I've had this reader for a few years now and been using it on a G4 iMac. It has performed perfectly well over that time. Please be wary if you're a new buyer though as it won't work with SD cards over 1GB and it won't recognise the SDHC cards that are available now (which weren't around at the time of this products release). I've had it working fine with a 2GB Compact Flash card and it's been fine on the USB 1 port of my iMac. It's a nice little reader but out of date. You're probably better off getting something more up to date that can handle more.

A few years ago I bought a 1GB Mini-SD card for nearly £70, it's not surprising that technology has moved on to produce higher capacity cards - that was inevitable. The surprising aspect is the amazing price drop over the last few years. For less than a fiver you can now have a few GB of physical storage in a format not much bigger than a sweetcorn nibblet! I've had a few Kingston cards and the Japanese based-company produces high quality cards which often retail for less than the bigger brands such as SanDisk. The Micro-SD card slots into the supplied SD Adaptor. It's a nice snug fit, and the slight lip on the outside of the Micro-SD card assists you in removing it once it's inserted. Works fine.. Can't understand negative reviews on a product like this... It's cheap as well for under a tenner !!
